Littlehampton Miniature Railway

The Littlehampton Miniature Railway runs along the seafront between Norfolk Gardens and Mewsbrook Park. The railway is operated by the Littlehampton Heritage Railway Association (LHRA), in association with Arun District Council. The railway is staffed entirely by volunteers, who are all members of the LHRA.

Great for all ages and there is a disabled carriage. I'm told that they will in the future have a steam engine. The oldest twelve and a quarter gauge railway in the country - fun for the whole family (even the big kids amoungst us!).

Littlehampton Ferry

The Littlehampton Ferry is the best way to cross the River Arun. It links the East and West banks of the River Arun in Littlehampton. It operates between Town Quay & The Littlehampton Yacht Club. We can carry up to 12 passengers and dogs go for free! Hours of Operation Open every day during school holidays & weekends if it's not too wet and windy. Ferry will run roughly every 20 mins or when full. There is no stop off at Arundel. Up to 5 harbour trips per day (these can be booked in advance and times may vary) Parking There is parking on the West bank at the Littlehampton Yacht Club and on the East side at the Green (West) for up to 1 hour. Please pay the ferry skipper for parking at the Littlehampton Yacht Club. Harbour Tours The ferry also operates harbour tours of Littlehampton. The Passengers are informed of the local history of the area, the shipbuilding and local attractions and wildlife are pointed out. About The Ferry This is the 5th year in operation and is a joint venture between the Littlehampton Town Council, the Littlehampton Yacht Club, Robert Boyce and the East/West Beach Cafes. The ferry service links the town centre with the sandy beaches, golf course and yacht clubs on the West bank of the River Arun. The boat was specifically sourced in Florida in the US and was shipped over to the UK to become the first and only one of its kind to operate in the UK. It is a pontoon boat that is very stable and capable of carrying 12 passengers (and skipper) and is run over the holidays and summer months. There is luxury seating for 12 and a sun canopy. There are dedicated pontoons on either side of the river for easy access. The ferry can carry buggies, bikes and well behaved dogs. There are 2 easy access gates so passengers can step aboard with ease. There is disabled access from both the East and West Banks. Please contact us in advance to discuss your requirements.

The fabulous Jon (and Myra who we love) arrived promptly on time and took us to McDonalds on the way home. The McDonalds was very much needed to soak up the excessive amount of alcohol we consumed. Jon is a legend, and very funny! Great service, totally recommend!
