It took some time to drive to Salinas Grandes from Jujuy, but it is totally worth. The landscape, also along the road, is spectacular! Just expect to drive slowly because of traffic and also altitude. There are little villages along the road, with local food, nice options to stop. July is a busy month, just be prepared.

Your camera will get hot from different colors, waterholes, mountains etc. What a place. Best to do it in cahoots with Volcan Galan tour. Highest point was 4500m ASL. One of the highlights of my 5 weeks in the area.
