Discovered this little treasure trove on a recent visit to Ardara. The staff were extremely helpful and assisted me with getting my purchased sent home by courrier( no boot space with our travel system for the kids) ...the items arrived home before us! Excellent service. Gorgeous gifts, crafts and an excellent range of cards at all price ranges. Would recommend stopping here if you are exploring the beautful sights while on holidays in Ardara. Will definately visit again when we go to Ardara next year ????

Art gallery of professional artist Stephen Bennett. The gallery, consisting of 2 rooms, houses a large collection of Stephen's original paintings and also a range of limited edition prints. His work includes landscapes and figurative paintings based mostly on the landscape and people of Donegal. You will find paintings, large and small, of coastal and bogland scenes in acrylic, mixed media or pastel as well as scenes of musicians in full flight or farmer's at the mart. Stephen loves to draw and you will find many drawings, of a range of subjects, in graphite or indelible pen. To these he sometimes adds color washes producing his own distinctive pen and wash technique. Stephen likes his work to be accessible to everyone and he always has a range of small originals in the studio gallery as well as a collection of limited edition prints. A warm welcome awaits visitors to the gallery and this artist is happy to talk about his work.

A wonderful man who creates wonderfully woven wool on his loom. It was well worth our short stop in Ardara to meet Eddie, to see him at his loom, and then be able to purchase one of his beautiful blankets and scarves. If I am back in the area I will be visiting again!

After walking a nearby beach, we had lunch here and then had a few minutes to look in the shops. This one is not to be missed. It is made up of arts and crafts for locals. Everything the shop was desirable and quite well made. Many art treasures.

Our Centre is approved by Bord Failte and we offer a unique experience to all our visitors. Inside you will find a life size replica cottage of the Mulhern family home and get the opportunity to step inside and see for yourself where it all began. We also offer a Weaving Demonstration from one of our Master Weavers on 200 year old Hand Looms and enjoy an audio visual display detailing the history and heritage of Donegal Tweed. Alongside our tour you can purchase our own Triona Donegal Tweed in our factory store and also purchase a selection if Irish Knitwear and rare Irish Gold Jewelery.

2nd time shopping at Triona Design. I have never been able to wear wool in my life. They have Marino wool sweaters that are as soft as can be, (wearable despite my usual wool allergy) and beautiful designs. The shop keepers are very helpful and they will ship if necessary. I took mine with me. Lovely shop, merchandise. Also take a look at the thatched house in the back near the loom. Fascinating.
