Complejo Arqueologico de Curamba

It is an Inca administrative center. Curamba presents a rather unique urban planning, distinguishing various sectors comprising a large square, a truncated two levels (ushnu) and a kallanka pyramid. Around the plaza there are 50 architectural structures of rectangular and square, grouped in sets or "courts" with internal squares.

There are so many aspects to Peru that I was completely ignorant of before my trip and this huge carved stone was one of them, along with the ruins behind it, giving you a great view of the surrounding area. You can almost imagine what it was like to live here hundreds of years ago.
