Belum Caves

Reviewed By Sharmaaji - Bengaluru, India

We were informed that in olden days, Jain monks would mediate in these caves, away from noise and people. It was much later discovered in 1884 by Robert Bruce and later taken over by the AP tourism department. The caves are a treat to watch and one can see the intricate work made by underground water systems. Its about 2 hours of moving about randomly in corners of the caves which have stalactites, stalagmites, underground water etc. The AP tourism department has done a good job of providing fresh air and light effects inside the caves making them more enchanting.

I am most frquently going to Tada waterfalls. Recently my kids learn swimming there only. I am really happy, morning 8 am opening . I recommend come asap. I don't recommend dont visit on weekends. In this covid season many members visiting so its polluted, but mon-fri few members only visiting. After bike/car parking walk atleast 1 km. Here a checkdam available. Swim there 365 days water flowing in this dam, only 5 meters height only . Next optionally go to main waterfalls Here Aug-Feb highly recommended. Its good. I recommend with family members.
