One should visit this place in winter, when there are various migratory birds which come to breed here. During other months, the place is nothing more than a sea inlet with bushes. Apparently boating is allowed.

Hope Island

This is a small island in the middle of the ocean, You have to book a boat in the Kakinada Harbour. AP tourism boats are there. It is thrilling ride on the ocean. Take your own food and water as there is nothing in the Island. You can spend some time there relaxing, playing and enjoying the nature. You don't get any food near the harbour. So get it from the town itself.

Pulicat Bird Sanctuary

Reviewed By RamaR428 - Chennai (Madras), India

We went to Sriharikota on 7 Jan 2018 to see flamingos. There were hundreds of them in the water on the way to the space center. Since they are about say 200 meters from the shore you need a good pair of binoculars to see them. It was a beautiful sight. There is a view point sign and from there we can get to the shore easily. These birds can be seen till February we were told. It is 90 kms from Chennai and will take two hours to reach that place. It is just beyond Sullurpet.
