What to do and see in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andaman and Nicobar Islands: The Best Things to do for Honeymoon

April 30, 2022 Malia Yoakum

Sparsely-populated beaches that give way to an ocean brimming with interesting marine life and coral gardens are just one of the reasons to visit the beautiful Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Ghandi Park, Sippighat Farm and the century-old Cellular Jail (now a pilgrimage destination) provide glimpses into the past and present of these peaceful islands with a mysterious and multicultural past.

Elephant Beach

Reviewed By Gopaljalwal - Jaipur, India

This beach is famous for water sports activities ( snorkelling, jet ski, banana ride, scooter ride, parasailing etc.). There are two ways to reach here one is by boat (950/ person) another through forest trekking ( 500₹ for guide for all). If you are fit can go through forest it is adventurous and economic as well. Beach remains open till 3 pm so better to reach there till 9 am to get enjoy of water sports activities. Price for water sports activities are high here compared to Neil Island. Snorkelling is must to do here gives view of lot of different corals with fishes. Depth of water near shore is till your waist that’s why it creates here natural swimming pool. I did swimming here around 2 hours and still remember. It will better you get your own snorkelling instrument because it will help you not only on this beach but on other beaches also. Swimming goggles is must to bring here if you want to enjoy here in free. Don’t give water sports money to your forest trekking guide they will cheat you better to give direct to counter as we faced and caught him red handed. Lat bath facilities available here. No restaurants available here bring your own food only fruits salad n coconut water is available here.

Andaman Bubbles

Andaman Bubbles is a friendly dive centre located on Havelock Island in the Andamans. We opened our doors in December 2008. With a strong emphasis placed on safety, we offer professional quality service, but in a flexible relaxed manner. We here at Andaman Bubbles have a strong passion for the island and the sea that surrounds it. We look forward to sharing that passion with you, not just as our customers but also as our friends. We have new and well-maintained equipment and have taken the step to have equipment quality above that of standard rental gear you find with most dive centers. We hope this will offer our customers as well as experienced divers the opportunity to consider if they really need to bring their own equipment. We stock Apeks fully balanced regulators, Seaquest BCDs, open heel fins, shoes, masks and a selection of short/long wetsuits. Also Suunto dive computers/compasses and digital cameras are available for rent. We also have 72 12-liter cylinders with yoke valve and 10 with din inserts for customers with Din first stage. For those that tend to be a bit heavy on air, we have four 15 liter cylinders and for the smaller divers four 10 liter cylinders. We have a German built L&W 300 Nautic compressor with digital maintenance system to prevent any contamination in the cylinders. We follow the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) as well as Scuba Schools International (SSI) general standards and recommendations. Most of our dive sites are suitable for all diver levels and certifications. But, a few require Advanced open water certificate and more experience due to depths and possibilities for strong currents. If you wish to further your diving education one of our experienced instructors would be happy to assist you. We offer almost all SSI and PADI courses from recreational diving to professional diving.

Bharatpur beach is situated near Neil island jetty. It is main beach of Neil Isla and must visit.Water is crystal clear water, good for swimming, water sports activities ( glass bottom boat ride, snorkelling, banana ride, jet ski etc.) . Here lot of shops for shopping of shell, pearls made items. You can do shopping here with reasonable price compare to Port Blair. Lat bath facilities available here. Few restaurants situated on beach side. One most important thing is visit to this beach between 10 am to 3 pm because this beach s water recedes during high tide in evening hours so you will be disappointed then. This is flat surface beach where you will not get depth even after 500 metre from shore so you can swim here without fear with great waves.
