Amasra Castle

Reviewed By Flyngdtchmn - Utrecht, The Netherlands

Amasra Castle is located at the center ıf Amasra and a stone throw from the market area. However it is unfair to calş this ruins "castle" as nothing left except a couple of ancient walls. The houses in the castle damaged the whole concept. there is an old chapel in the castle however it is closed and the board says the frescos in the chapel have nearly disappeared because of restorations. such a dramatic loss.

Amasra Museum

This was one of the smallest museums i've been. There is no trace of history you may got suprised and no many details about current materials. It won't take much time if you still want to see..
They should pay more attention to a museum in such a great historical place!

Rabbit Island

The best view can be caught from Kemere Bridge, which is just outside of the market area. The name of the island is Rabbit island, however it is imposible to see rabbits. Good for a couple of pictures and for a short boat tour around but that is pretty all you can do.

Inkumu

İnkumu is blessed with a 3 km long beach with very fine sand.Access is with a narrow winding road from Bartin town through a beautiful forested hill.I suggest visiting in september when the sea is calmer and the local crowd is gone.It tends to be overcrowded in july/august.
The sea water is lake water like with very little salt.
