Northumberland is blessed with many beautiful beaches and this wide sandy bay is one of the best. Tucked away behind a golf course and with a view of Dunstanburgh castle this is an unspoilt and well kept secret perfect for dogs and the grandkids loved paddling in the sea.

We hired two e-bikes from the Bike Shop Alnwick, which is the same company as Coquet Cycles. Excellent customer service, everything was provided including puncture repair Kit, pump, inner tube & tools. Both E-bikes were in very good condition & two of our children loved using them on a challenging cycle as we explored the coast and country side of Northumberland. The e-bikes assist in cycling, which turned out to be an excellent recommendation from the bike shop. We would certainly recommend to others.

Alnmouth Village Golf Links

Reviewed By Regol12

My wife and I had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Alnmouth village golf club. We both enjoyed the mini lamb shanks which were "falling off the bone" tender with a selection of veg and minted gravy to accompany the yorkshire pud, mashed and roast spuds. We were both to full to try the puddings but they looked good too. We can definitely recommend this place for a good meal in very pleasant surroundings with views across the golf course, served by the friendly team. We hope to be back again soon.

This is a beautiful, clean beach on a curve which leads the eye to the view of Dunstanburgh Castle in the distance. The Ship Inn, set back from the beach does a roaring trade thanks to its tasty food, beer brewed in the local micro-brewery and the welcoming and lively atmosphere.

Having been for a long walk with our dog on Embleton beach, we had a very welcome breakfast stop at the golf club, we both enjoyed full English breakfast and filter coffee for approx £7.50 each. Good quality at a good price can recommend. Dogs not allowed inside but plenty of outside tables.
