Visited with friends the first Saturday we were allowed after easing of lockdown. Online booking was really efficient, staff friendly and helpful. We were sitting outside and felt very safe (just need to remember a coat next time!!!) Beer was great and non beer drinkers enjoyed the local cider! Thank you to all the team for adapting to the rules.

Kimber House is home to the MG Car Club - formed by the MG factory in 1930. We're the original club for MG owners, based in Abingdon and catering for all MG models. At the Club's home in Abingdon, we have various artefacts on show - from small MG models, and factory signs, to original 1930s documents and a fully restored engine. If you're in the area, come down and explore the world of MG!
Wonderful to "call in" and immediately feel at home. Spent time enjoying memorabilia and the history we know well being MG buffs. Don't forget to sign the visitors book....

Alongside this brilliant technical set-up the cinema is hosted by a staff team of the most friendly and bubbly people who will make your cinema experience feel even more personal whoever you are. Offering a finely stocked bar, a hot food selection that will please even the fussiest of eaters, cinema seating and even cabaret style seating . We love our local cinema. Being able to order gin and tonic to drink at your table; who knew cinema could be such a treat! Friendly helpful staff, good screen size and sound quality, soooo much better than the multiplex. It make going to see a film a great night out. Thank you all at the Abbey

Modelling the past for the future. The benchmark for modelling excellence. Pendon's centrepiece exhibition of the Vale of White Horse is a re-creation of the rural landscape of the 1920s and 30s in breathtaking detail. Pendon is also home to our famous Dartmoor and Teignmouth Sea Wall scene models and the ground breaking Madder Valley Railway. Our volunteer guides provide informative descriptions about the history, geography, society and transport of the times. A fun and educational experience for all. We also offer a small tea room, museum shop and free wi-fi. Disabled parking and access available.
Superb if you understand modelling. Worth a visit if you appreciate quality models. It takes you back in time and is explained by knowledgable volunteers. I suggest you go round twice as you miss a lot the first time. Have a tea in small cafe area and go round again. A must place to visit for all modellers.

Explore 6000 years of history in England’s oldest settlement. Abingdon Museum is in Abingdon’s historic centre, open 10am-4pm Tuesday to Sunday & bank holidays (closed 24 December to 2 January). The collection includes Neolithic finds through Ice Age, Roman, Saxon and Medieval artefacts to Abingdon’s industries such as Morland Brewery and MG works. They have the last MGB Roadster Special Edition off the production line in the gallery too! Set over four floors, the main exhibition is on the first floor with the Abingdon Ichthyosaur up on the second, alongside the famous Monks’ Map. If the weather’s good you can go up to the roof it’s only £2 for a million dollar view. Why not begin or end your visit to the County Hall with a trip to the Mouse Hole Cafe and Crossley Engine Pump exhibit in the Museum’s basement? The Mouse Hole was the first cafe in Abingdon to have an espresso machine back in 1959 and had a reputation as a ‘cool hangout’ for kids. (open 10-2pm, closed Sundays & Mondays)
We were given a very warm welcome at the museum. The chap was very knowledgeable of the area and told us of some lovely walks to try, and some places to visit. The items in the museum were very well labelled and it was a very interesting visit. There was no charge and we did not feel obliged to donate. We did as it was so interesting.

Any time we go we always receive a very warm welcome from H and Lisa. It’s great to catch up with them and the locals and also to meet people visiting or new to the area. Always a good selection of ales and a real heritage pub experience. Exceptionally good in the spring and summer when everyone is outside and ordering through the hatch in the wall! Highly recommended, at the heart of Steventon village life!

For the first time in thirty years we are delighted to bring a brand new state of the art cinema to Abingdon! Presenting... a modern cinema in a medieval setting with a newly installed state of the art digital projection and Dolby sound system. Set up in an ancient monument, The Unicorn contains an exquisite theatre where guests can cosy up and enjoy a glass of wine with the latest film. The Unicorn is a true community venue and in addition to films and screenings hosts live events.

Sprouts Play Barn is a stimulating soft play space perfect for exploration and fun. It’s suitable for all ages with a specially designed area solely for the under 5’s. As well as the huge play frame, you can tap out your tunes on the floor piano, shoot some goals on the sports court and even become a farmer or postie in our unique ‘Farmers Market’ role play zone. We have Rose Cottage Cafe within Sprouts, serving a great selection of freshly prepared hot and cold food, drinks and snacks - great for re-fueling during your play session. We run timed sessions on both peak and off-peak days, so please visit our website to view these and all our prices.
Wow!!!!! Sprouts play barn is a separate business based within the Millets Farm grounds. This is honestly the BEST soft play I have come across with areas to suit all ages! Everything is themed around Farm life or real life, with different sound pads, quizzes & questions in various parts of the frame, there is also sensory based lights within the smaller baby/toddler area. Sprouts also has a imaginative play themed area made customary from soft play, there is a Post office & Stable yard to name just a few. There is a brand new (May 2019) outdoor play area attached which I haven’t personally visited yet but the photographs look amazing & if sprouts itself is anything to go by it will be just as good. Inside the main play barn there is also a comfy reading corner with a variety of books. The toilets are unisex but are both children, baby change & disabled friendly. There is a cafe inside ‘Rose cottage’ serving really good quality food for both Adults & Children with plenty of non junk healthy options to! There is a wonderful gift shop which you can view without using the play barn selling really good quality toys which is well worth a visit alone. Sprouts is available for party hire, hosts many themed events & activities & even has a baby weighing room which some may find useful, lots more information can be found on there website. Tips ~ Sprouts gets VERY busy wether it is the school holidays, weekends or just a normal week day, what ever the day I HIGHLY recommend pre booking your slot on there website in advance to avoid disappointment. The BEST soft play around just sadly VERY busy but this speaks for itself.
