5 Stars ,No! Way

We booked 5 nights at the start of May.2022 in a Deluxe room based on so many good Reports we had read , the first impression was not too good the Hotel looks more like a left over from the 70/80s, but the interior was very nice and clean, the check in did not go well either due to the problem of explaining the rules in English which was an uneasy situation for us both, but the biggest disappointment was to come the breakfast was à la carte not buffet, which is the first time we have experienced this in 20 years from a 5 Star Hotel the personal were very friendly and did their upmost to please. The rooms are Ok but old and nothing Special, the Pool looks very nice evening’s but there are simple not enough Parasols and are also too small, so if you are relaxing with 2 people as was the case with us one person gets a sunburn and her is a warning for people over 50 the nights are very loud on the pool, Wi-Fi is free of charge but 50% of the time does not work, I’m so sorry to have to give such a negative report but with the very high prices and bad services The Margi need a wakeup call.

Main pool/ WC

The pool bathrooms are not four seasons standard. They are all wet and a mess. It’s like going to the bathroom in a water park. The main pool is a jungle. They should have a separate pool for the kids. I have kids of my own. But this is not four seasons.

Truly awful in every word

Reviewed By Erh1

You couldn't make up what a shambles this place is. I would feel robbed if I was paying half the price thinking it was a 3* The hotel itself is cramped, low quality interiors, dated& unclean The staff are unhelpful at best, rude & argumentative as a default The food inedible No Service Though there are plenty of staff around, they were reluctant to help on the many issues encountered. Just a few examples inc. blaming the room key cards stopping working every day on a different thing each day - the lock on the room, us putting cards next to phones, the cards - and refusing to acknowledge that it was happening to multiple guests on a daily basis not just us. Refusing to move umbrellas to provide shade. Food Despite being in Greece, a land of fresh produce, there was no fresh food at breakfast. Fruit was either canned or low grade imported and the hot food was tired & stale each day. Even the produce the country is famous for was low quality & mass market opposed to fresh exemplars as one would expect of a 5* hotel. The greek yogurt mass market, the honey rancid, the olives all revolting. Facilities The rooms are cramped, ugly & repeatedly not cleaned. The beach is cramped & unclean. The gym the showcase they charge e20 p/person p/day, the free gym dirty.

Sometimes when diving you open a shell and hope to find a Pearl but get only an oyster, at Vouliagmeni suites we found a “little cracker”.Located about 30 minutes from the centre of Athens we were looking for an alternative to a city centre hotel and came across this one. The locals call this area the Riveria with its tree lined roads and clear blue water ,what more would you want?, The hotel is not the Ritz however it offers excellent value for money, friendly and yes even helpful staff, large spacious bedrooms with decent A/C and the real Pearl was the magnificent breakfast, one of the nicest we have come across in many a year considering the size of the hotel. So please book this one when you want a break from the city.

Outrageously over-rated and does not deserve its rating

Reviewed By X4582AYsan

The hotel is outrageously over rated and clearly does not deserve its stars rating… the hotel is just using the name of the neighboring hotel to inflate its prices and dupe its customers. Staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. Rates are clearly overpriced for a hotel that does not have amenities such as pool, restaurant, fitness center, especially in such a holiday place… Someone looking for a hotel in that area should clearly have a look at some of the cheaper alternatives within the same area (there are some in which friends stayed in which are much better and much cheaper).

Honest Review The Good The Bad and The Ugly

Reviewed By Richard H

An honest review for the money we paid we did get very good value with breakfast included. First impression the chap who checked us in late at night was super friendly and always smiling . Up to the room and its clean enough requested two single beds which is kinda what we got once we'd unzipped the mattresses and pushed them apart. Bathroom was clean and shower very large. side note if you have aircon on and open balcony door it turns it off. One off putting note that i think needs addressing bed linen wasn't change daily i'm not so sure it was changed at all and in the extreme heat its needed. Breakfast was the standard European take on full English with plenty of fruit, cheese, meat ect to suit most peoples taste. Taxis now the hotel can book you a taxi to anywhere but beware it's very expensive my advice would be to download the Bolt App and nearly every journey is cheaper sometimes by 50%. Had one very bitter experience with a taxi booked through the hotel booked to meet friends at st julians which is a short ride away and we paid 15-20 euro (direct to the hotel) the taxi driver dropped us off and drove off after opening google maps we noticed we were still a mile away from our destination 18mins walk in fact the same walk time it was originally from our hotel. We didn't complain (wish we had) but we still had 4 days left and for 15 euros thought no point. No idea if the hotel staff had written address down wrong but we did show them on google or the taxi company was just out to scam us but take my advice and use bolt. Lastly on the first night we kept hearing a ridiculously loud door bell all through the night being a couple of 30 somethings we liked to sit out on our balcony after we had been out and it didn't take us long to twig on to what was going on over the road men coming at all hours if you catch my drift . Again didn't really bother us but if you have kids might be best not to get a room over looking the hotel doors. Final note the street outside is very busy at all hours and the hotel is inches from the main strip so young families may struggle with the noise. so there you have it to sum up decent hotel for a great price good breakfast just a few improvements needed to make it a great hotel .

Perfect for family vacation

Reviewed By vukie_d

It was hard to find two joined rooms elsewhere for the price, so we didn't know what to expect. But, all was perfect. They reached out to us before our arrival and had a crib ready for our baby. Both rooms had the AC, the balcony was spacious, and all was very clean. The beaches and restaurants are a walking distance. We also discovered the Vouliagmenis Lake - a must see at least during night. What we liked the most is that the town is not too overwhelmed with tourists. If we travel in that region, we'd definitely choose this place again.
