From the outside, we thought this restaurant would be a simple restaurant, but when we went in we were impressed by the decor, including rugs in the dining room off the courtyard. A silver tray of six or more regional olive oils and vinegars was brought to the table and then a selection of fresh warm bread brought to us. The service is definitely "silver service", the food was excellent and the dessert interesting. At the end of dinner, a huge thunderstorm meant that we were caught in L'Approdo but it finally cleared. The waiter asked if he could get his car and take us back to the port. That was such a kind gesture, we were pleased with the offer but had eaten so well that we thought it best to have a short walk back. Excellent experience.

The restaurant's views could not be beat. Situated right on the beach, both lunch and dinner offered a beautiful view (we went for both). The air was fresh and the water was crystal clear. Very professional service. The meal was exquisite. From appetizer to dessert, everything tasted fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

We spent a month in Southern Italy and visited many restaurants. In this part of the world, all restaurants have similar menu, you will not find anything fancy... after a while you get used to the seafood spaghetti, fish, calmari, scalpi etc... They all look and taste the same, but. . . not in Anema e Core. We had the best seafood, fresh, plenty of shripms and clams, great sause. The dishes are slightly more expensive than at the competition, but worth it. Pizzas were also very good and we loved the top quality desserts. I am still thinking about this taste and will return to this restaurant when next time in the area. I do recommend it as a nice, family friendly, authentic place.
