Reviewed By 110KarenHWe wanted a relaxing get-away three-day weekend for our 31st anniversary and we got it in Ventotene. Hotel Villa Iulia was recommended by a friend it is was just what we wanted. We loved this family-run hotel! The hospitality began with the friendly greeting we received via email and advice on restaurants things to do. We were greeted at the dock and a car took our luggage. It is a bit of walk uphill to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The view was amazing!!! We left our door open (closed the shutters) and drifted to sleep to the sound of the ocean surf. The continental breakfast was plentiful with fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice and cappuccino. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer.

Reviewed By KarinL494Bravo for hotel Mezzatorre and Borgo Cacciatori. We booked 1 night in Borgo Cacciatori but due to sad family circumstances we had to visit and fly home 1 day earlier. The fully booked Borgo arranged for us to stay the night in their beautiful sister hotel Mezzatorre. Beautiful vistas, clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast (and dining) room overlooking the beach and sea. Thanks for your flexibility and service. We will visit again. Recommended.

Amazing time at a gorgeous location
Reviewed By LingaroWe've spent 2 nights at the hotel and came back with the most amazing memories. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the central but luckily they have a shuttle service every 30-60mins running quite late so it's not an issue at all. Anyway one should make that walk once to discover the island:) We stayed at room 6 with a huge balcony looking straight at Ischia and Capri. You can choose to lay on the sun or enjoy the shadow. The room was basic and clean with really fast WiFi!!! Most importantly the staff deserves extra credit! They were ever so friendly and looked after us like family. So, extra thanks to the receptionist lady (who also stayed in Manchester!!!) and our driver who always had a smile on his face and recommended the best local places to eat etc. I'd recommend everyone to visit this small but ever so lovely island as it's not yet discovered by tourists and hopefully it'll remain so! Thanks for everything and hope to see you soon ;)

The structure, simple and elegant at the same time, the terraces made of Salerno ceramics, and the gardens on the sea cliff will invite you to abandon yourself to relaxation, to the quietness of the good old times, far from the crowed and protected by the stress. Slightly larger than a villa, surrounded by peace and simplicity, at easy reach, each room has its private bathroom, whereas the terraces allow to communicate and socialize. Islanders but not isolated, hydrofoils and ferry-boats make Ventotene an easily accessible destination.

Reviewed By Sanne TThe owners are very proud of their hotel and so they should be! The hotel is 10 mins walk from the village but if you don't want or cannot walk they offer a shuttleservice. The surrounding is beautiful and tranquil, from your hammock you can lookout over the sea and Santo Stefano, it is lovely. The hotel has a relaxing vide. The room is very nice and clean, thanks to the other staffmembers which are also very nice, helpful and forthcoming. Everyone is making you feel very welcome and at home. Among other things we choose this hotel outside the village because it also has a restaurant. Unfortunately it wasn't open yet, which we said to the owners. To our surprise they organised on our last night a excellent dinner with homemade dishes (such as fresh vegetables, risotto with menta, sort of greek yoghurt with strawberries, rucola salad with tomatoes and bufela mozzarella) which all tasted delicious! After the dinner they also had homemade liquor. This hotel is highly recommended! If you can...go on a clear night outside or walk around/back from the village and watch the many, many stars. It is awesome! We hope to come back in the near future.

Reviewed By paolooo067The hotel is relatively far from the harbour (about 20' on foot) but there is a shuttle service on demand. Rooms are average. Our shower box was broken, although we were warned about it, as this had just happened. The view from the room and the breakfast hall is spectacular. Breakfast was good.

Reviewed By youngmmlStayed at this B&B for 5 nights. We found the room very clean and it met our basic needs. We enjoyed the air conditioning and the cute little outdoor private sitting area at each unit entrance. Alfonso was kind enough to pick us in a van upon our arrival and departure from the port.The room has a shower and hair blower but no fridge or microwave. One can sit and enjoy the view of the sea from the rear gardens. We were delighted to see so many birds and beautiful blossoming flowers within the garden. The daily complimentary breakfast consisted of Italian buns, croissants, jams, juice and cereal. Breakfast was served by the ever-smiling Lili. I also witnessed an epic sunset from the belvedere. Good WiFi reception. It is less than a 15-minute walk to the town centre where there are many restaurants, souvenir stores, grocery store, post office, pharmacy etc. We asked and received laundry services for a small cost. Alfonso was very helpful and answered our numerous inquiries.

Reviewed By Loretta GAt first sight this place place would seem a little off the beaten track, but once you find your way, you realise that it is only a short walk to everything you need. The staff are excellent and always helpful and willing to please. Any request was dealt with efficiently and always with a smile. If you don’t feel like going out the suggestive restaurant overlooking the port is a perfect night out. No menu, just fresh produce of the day, elegantly presented. Rooms were spacious and clean. We had a quadruple and it was like a mini apartment. Lots of outdoor space and plenty of seating if you just fancy relaxing at the hotel for the day. Would definitely stay again and would recommend this place to friends.

Reviewed By Inspire66456789832È stata una piacevole sorpresa…la casa pulita..molto carina e soprattutto una bellissima vista sullo splendido mare di Ventotene e Santo Stefano…centrale a pochi minuti dal centro…e poi la discesa al mare vicino casa che portava alla spiaggia di Calanave…un grazie particolare a Roberto che ci ha accolti benissimo…ci ha risolto in un battibaleno i piccoli problemi…sempre disponibile…è sempre con il sorriso…grazie!!!!

Atmosfera amichevole e rilassante
Reviewed By Y1818TIfrancescosQuesto B&B ha una posizione assolutamente centrale, ma quello che che lo contraddistingue, come del resto la maggiorparte degli isolani, è l'atmosfera amichevole e rilassante. All'arrivo, con grande sorpresa siamo stati prelevati in auto da Giulio ed accompagnati nelle stanze, devo dire molto apprezzato. Per la colazione ci si appoggia al Bar ArtCafè al piano starda, molto buona e tutti molto gentili. L'agenzia Incantamondo, che si occupa della struttura, è a due passi e sono gentilissimi, il giorno della partenza abbiamo potuto tenere la stanza fino all'orario di partenza della nave nel pomeriggio, lasciando le chiavi nell'apposita cassetta. Di contro, si potrebbe migliorare qualcosa, le pareti purtroppo sono molto sottili e poco insonorizzate, l'arredamento è molto scadente (economico) anche se non manca nulla. Il wifi nelle camere non c'era, ci hanno detto che era in riparazione (ma nell'ottica della gentilezza di cui parlavo prima, ci hanno fatto allacciare al wifi del Bar).
