We have been happy to return here for years and it is a matter of the heart for us. The location of Hotel Aplino is very well situated for us and our two children 6 and 4 years. Just off the motorway, just above the Alpe Cermis and 15 minutes from Pampeago - Predazzo - Obereggen. I warmly recommend.

A perfect cosy and friendly place with both alpine and cross-country skiing resorts nearby.
Reviewed By Peter PAt first we chose this due to the price and availability (late booking) but don't get fooled by this place having one star. It was a very nice and pleasant place to stay. The owner Michele welcomed us and was very helpful in everything and anything we needed. He insisted his English was not very good but I have to say otherwise and he made every effort to speak it but he also speaks Italian and German and I'd have loved to practice if it wasn't so convenient to talk in English. He gave us many tips for getting around, skiing, discount for entry to the Passo Lavaze cross-country skiing resort and even helped us to get a good piece of speck and pancetta at a nearby butchery. Also, free ski-bus ticket for the whole stay so we could get around without the need to drive a car. Our room was cosy, clean and warm with a balcony and a view to the village. For extra 12 EUR your could get 3 course home-made dinner which was always delicious and plentiful (sometimes too much as we are not used to eat that much that late) and in the end we ate there all nights instead of looking for a place to eat. The meals were mostly Italian and Michele told us the menu for the day in the morning so we could choose if we wanted it or not. Breakfast was also very nice and continental with fruits, ham, salami, cereals, eggs, donut/croissant to choose from plus they make their own yogurt from local milk which was also delicious. You could also have a drink at a bar and play cards, browse one of the Italian fashion bible magazines or talk to Michele which felt like talking to an old friend. And the hotel is close to a number of ski resorts and ski-bus departs almost from outside the hotel and there is also coop supermarket in case you need to buy something and post office in case you want to send a postcard.

The Hotel Alla Rocca is proper to families and it offers a nice leaving hall, 36 simple but cosy rooms (all with WC, shower or bath, hairdryer, telephone and most balcony).Moreover it has a wide and sunny dining room, a terrace, a leaving room with tea corner and kid’s area, and a Tyrolean tavern with fireplace.The small wellness area with sauna and whirlpool is on hand of our guests as well as Internet point, a car parking, a wide garden and a ski/boots room.
