An interesting experience!
Reviewed By tintin630Our stay at Guesthouse Hugo was an interesting experience. We liked some of the retro features; for example the light switches and door handles. The wooden floors were very nice and the rooms looked out onto fantastic views. The owner was friendly and personable. However we did find the building and rooms pretty cold - we know it was end of season but a little more warmth would have been nice. The beds may also have been retro, but the mattresses were far too soft and uneven and the bed sheets had a strange texture to them. The location, close to the airport, makes it a handy place to stay.

A newly renovated house in a small village. We have a fantastic view over the village and the ocean. There are 4 cosy bedrooms, 2 common bathrooms and 1 extra toilet and a living room. Reviewed By Karol MThe owner charge us with additional fee, even if there was not extraordinary car as results from the contract. What is more the fee was taken half month after rental and the owner has no evidence that we soiled the car. Be careful on this.

Okay if budget conscious
Reviewed By ReeceHenryDue to visiting the Faroe’s during their national festival we did not have a lot of options for the four of us. The room was extremely small, basically we had to have shifts to move about in the room. The shared facilities were clean and okay. Things are not new and are a little tired but overall the place is kept clean. Location is close to the airport and some good hikes but a long way from the capital

We have recently opened a 1950's style Hotel in the small village of Midvagur on the Faroe Islands. It is a hotel with a bakery sale, Cafe and bar on the lowest floor. On the second floor there is a kitchen, small library, garden room, conference room, living room and a dining room. On the top floors we have 7 bedrooms, all decorated in 1950's style, and two bathrooms. The building was a total ruin in january 2014, and people said it was ready for the bulldozer to break it down, but we always had a dream to renovate it and make it the hotel it used to be. Even the late king of Denmark visited the Hotel in the 50's, so you could imagine how special this Hotel used to be. Now it is totally renovated with a very low budget and relying on almost only volunteer work. A lot of the furniture is imported from Denmark where they bought them at an auction on Amalienborg Castle, and the heaters are imported from Sweden to make sure they are in the 50's style. So you can imagine what we went through to get the perfect look for it. This Hotel is like a baby for us, we have worked hard day and night to get it just the way we want it. We are so happy to have guests at our hotel and will do all we can to make sure you are having a great time while you are here.
Very expensive for what it is
Reviewed By Ricardo BThis bed and breakfast is a beautiful place as a old house with amazing antiques and features but as a B&B I don’t think it is worth the big amount of money you pay. The bedroom is so tiny and angled it is so difficult to go to bed. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast is not great either for the price you pay. Beautiful place but incredibly expensive for what it is

Disappointing stay
Reviewed By PeturM10Check in is from 14:00. We arrived at 15:45 and no room was available when we arrived. We had to sit and wait until 16:30 to get our room. When we did go to bed one of the beds was in verry poor condition. It was really worn down and was on its last legs

Reviewed By Ewa KKristjanshavn is located near to the harbour in Midvagur. It’s close to the airport and bus stop. Rooms are clean and warm. Owner is very helpful and gives you a lot of privacy. We didn’t rent any car as it was easy to travel by bus. I really recommend Kristjanshavn.

Reviewed By hugovertRooms in property . Close to Vagar airport. Comfortable bed. Had an entertaining conversation with two Romanians in common sitting room. Owner very helpful even gave me a lift to Torshavn. Highly recommended as a base for tourists. As stated by owner on site a meal is not included in price.

An incredible cottage
Reviewed By Solivagant1975Truly lovely cottage, met all of our needs and then some! Situated on a hill overlooking the town and Fjord at a distance. Ample parking. Quiet, extremely clean, beautiful views. Two bedrooms upstairs along with roomy seating areas. Heated floors in hallway and bathroom. Good size bathroom with amenities, no touch toilet seat rises and falls as it senses your presence. Washer and dryer available for use. Kitchen stocked with everything one needs for meal preparation, even an espresso machine. Great seating area just off the kitchen, many games and books. Surround sound system was fantastic. Next to the cottage is a fenced in field with friendly Shetland ponies - there was a baby pony, just adorable. Owners were fantastic in every way. I would happily return to this place in the future.
