Having already tried breakfast at the neighbouring Willowbrook garden centre, we thought we would give the Blackdown breakfast a try. When we found the entrance we had to walk through all the departments till we finally arrived at the restaurant section. Despite the centre having several in-store clothing shops, the restaurant was definitely not on a par with other âdestinationâ centres. The breakfast itself was quite good, though toast was not offered as an option to fried bread, neither was there a choice as to how the eggs were cooked. The thing that struck me was that the restaurant was tired looking and not as clean as it could have been. Despite it being fairly early in the day, several tables had crumbs on them. The chrome frames of the tables were covered in smears and the backs of the leatherette chairs had marks on them. The overall effect was of âtransport cafeâ rather than somewhere to âgo for coffee/lunchâ. A little bit of effort however could make this a nice place.

Went for the first time with friends at tea time. Nice setting and surroundings. Different areas to sit in. Food was delicious, we all had something different and all good.Will definitely go back again.

Getting staff nowadays might be difficult but to have them screeching at you from behind the counter is an immediate negative. We purchased a number of savoury items but the worse, by far, were the pasties. The casing was so rock hard that my grandson thought he had broken a tooth on first bite. Most of us ended by dumping our purchases in the nearest bin.

You could leave this place with a serious hole in your wallet. The delicatessen part of this establishment is chock full of epicurean delights. However, it was for the cafe at the back that we came here and specifically breakfast. Itâs an unassuming room of 25 or so covers with a chill counter of pastries and cakes. We ordered one vegan breakfast and two eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. All cooked to order with no delays and both offerings were delicious and also good to look at. Each poached egg was cooked perfectly and the vegan breakfast contained homemade baked beans. All very moorish.A final delight and temptation whilst paying at the counter were the sight of Portuguese custard tarts. I bought two for elevenses and had I not driven home, 50 miles from wellington Iâd have gone back for more!

Was taken here for lunch by my friend and what a treat! It's a rustic little cafe with the most amazing view over Wellington towards the Blackdown Hills. The food is superb if I was going to be a little bit critical it would be nice to have a basket with some slices of the gorgeous sour dough! I will definitely be back maybe on a Sunday to try the pizza!

I often visit Brazier for coffee with my daughter and grandchildren but never before for an evening meal. I cannot fault the food or the attentive staff. The atmosphere was buzzing with people of all ages and wa# a truly amazing experience. Highly recommended.

Popped in for late lunch. Friendly staff. Meat fell off the lamb shank with good mash potato and veg. Ham egg and chips well presented. Decor good and place clean. It offers what it says. Cheap. Would recommend and will return.
