really great geographical situation; food was good but have we missed the boat on "pub food" in 2019?To anyone reading this review, I've actually been in contact with the reviewer who confirmed that this review was in fact for another Plough in the area (there are about 6 of us, 'Ostentatious' was the first clue that it might not have been us). Unfortunately, Tripadvisor wont remove the review (even though they have had confirmation that it is in fact posted to the wrong location) and the user doesn't know how to delete it. So please ignore it.CheersGeorge

The food this time was actually very good but it was cold where we were placed in the conservatory area and the service (especially considering there was only us plus one more table dining) was non existent. We had to repeatedly chase for service.Sad, but itâs had its second chance and not delivered.Hello SHDC-Dancer. Thank you for taking the time to review Red. Iâm very glad to hear that on your first visit since we re-opened in May under new management you found the food very good. I think you came just as the weather turned and the Garden Room heating has now been turned up. I was disappointed that you didnât receive our normal high level of service ( as you will see from other reviews this is unusual) and would be interested to know when you came But all our staff are aware of your comments which will help us know where we can make improvements. So I do hope that you will give us a second chance sometime.

Thank you so much for arranging a wonderful lunch for my brother's wedding celebration.Ralph met with us before to discuss our requirements and really went out of his way to accommodate our requests.On the day of our lunch, Nacito and Sheldon provided us with a great service. We had a private seating area for our 24 guests. The food was perfect, the presentation beautiful and the service outstanding! All our guests really enjoyed it.
