Absolutely superb food. Burger lovers, GET the Gourmet burger and you'll have completed your life! The staff are 10/10 for being helpful and polite, the pub is ultra clean, the 'normal' menu and the specials were all sampled by our group and each meal was beautiful. Well worth the money and the surrounding area is also beautifu. Great value for money too. Will definitely be back, highly recommended.

We called in one lunch time after travelling from Deganwy Station to Blaenau Ffestiniog to see the scenery and returning. The 'Hop on hop off' sightseeing bus also passes by. The menu offers a good choice and the food was well cooked (hake with leeks and chorizo and haddock risotto). Dessert was a brilliant citrus cheesecake and berry compote. Service was efficient and friendly. Would definitely go again.

This is a great old traditional pub that takes you back to the days of old. There is not a lot of room to move around in the bar, but thankfully, there is an additional dining area for guests/ parties downstairs or in the garden. We choose to stay by the bar, and we were very surprised by how busy it was for midweek and the size of the village! The menu is well balanced and varied and the portions ensure you are well fed! The homemade pie was excellent, as was the fish & chips. The service was welcoming and friendly - glad there was no wifi! The town has two pubs and both have excellent Chefs! Venture out of the city and come visit!

This restaurant, although i doesnt have the feels of a top quality restaurant, with its very spacious setting with a pool table, and bar in the centre, and very big windows, you almost feel like you are in a fish bowl. But......... the staff are very friendly, very accomodating of children as they have there own their too, but most of all the food! Wow!!! I have had numerous dishes and can't fault any! The portion sizes are absolutely huge!! The roast dinner is one of the best i have had in the Llandudno and Conwy area. Very busy little restaurant, very popular. Would definately reccomend. Book ahead in advance

A group of seven of us dined here on a Saturday evening. The food and service were good but the noise level was horrendous from a table of about fifteen nearby and we could barely hear ourselves think, let alone talk. This spoiled what may have been a very good evening. The menu is quite interesting and there is a good wine selection, all at reasonable prices. I had the mackerel starter, which was excellent, followed by a delicious roast pork shoulder. Unfortunately, the taste of the pork was somewhat overpowered by the accompanying cassoulet with chorizo. What is wrong with the taste of pork that it needs to be overpowered? My apple crumble dessert was excellent. Others in our party all enjoyed their meals. Décor is standard pub, but is quite spacious.

We visited while staying at Waenfechan glamping down the road for my partners birthday. We were greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful lady (unfortunately didn’t get her name) who got us our drinks and let us pick a table to sit at. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked in. We both tried the Snowdon larger which was very tasty. We were one of the first in because we arrived bang on 7, however more people started to arrive after us. The food was absolutely amazing, the best meal I’ve had in a long time. I had the liver pate starter and garlic mushroom pasta main and my partner had garlic bread for starter and the beef burger for main. You could tell the food was homemade with lots of love. We went on a Monday which meant we were able to have the special menu, (on Mondays and Tuesdays they have a 2 course for £10 or 3 course for £15 menu) and we were so so impressed, such good value for money and extremely yummy. The only disappointing thing was that I couldn’t fit a dessert in I was that full! Will have to save that for next time. The decor is 17th century style, old but cosy. It was nice to see a very traditional pub and added to the fabulous experience. If you’re looking for amazing food for a very good price this is the place for you. I really recommend visiting this place! Can’t wait to return

We stopped here for lunch and came out somewhat disappointed.. We found that the lunch menu was a little limited. There were few vegetarian options and there were only four choices of sandwiches. There were no paninis or baguettes. We both chose the soup of the day to start which was spinach. It was not very warm and needed more seasoning. My husband had the burger with chips which he said was ok but not the best he has eaten by a long way. i struggled to find something which appealed as I wanted only a light lunch so i chose the duck spring rolls from the starters as a main.. They were very tasty. All in all it was an average lunch and i don't think we will be rushing back. The service was very friendly and the staff were attentive, however it was very very quiet. Also we thought that the prices were a tad high compared with, say, a Brunning and Price pub.Hi Denise T,Thank you for leaving us a review about your recent visit. We apologise for your recent experience, this is not up to our usual standards. We will take all of your comments on board regarding the limited menu, we are soon launching our new winter menu so we would love it if you would return to check this out. Throughout the autumn period we have gone quieter. We are glad you found our staff attentive and friendly. We would like to welcome you back in the near future.

First impressions were that food was a bit pricey. However, on our first visit we had a burger and found it to be very very nice and good value. Staff were nothing short of excellent and beer was well above average.Second visit was much the same.Third visit was our last because the maitre D was a different chap and was simply awful. Without going into too much detail...we had the dog with us and he said we could have a table in the walkway or not at all. Dog would never settle in a busy area so we were prepared to go elsewhere. In the end we (not he) worked out that we could easily sit in the snug and be out of the way of footfall and everyone would be happy. It wasn’t that he didn’t want us there...it was more that he wouldn’t or couldn’t find a solution that would suit everyone. I honestly thought that was his job. Wrong guy in the wrong job.We ended up staying and having a good meal. Important to note....other than the one awkward chap ....the staff were absolutely fantastic.HiI apologise that you had a problem. We are very happy to let dogs into the pub although at busy times it can be hard to find a suitable area for them. Im glad that the rest of your visits were great and the food, service and beer were great. Please come in again and we will ensure you and your dog has a great time.

Food very good and staff friendly.Unfortunately the Beer wasn’t great, the coffee was dreadful and squirty cream on the pudding was a let down, albeit the pudding was fine.If not for the above would have given an excellent.
