We have visited Piestany several times and alway enjoy trolling around the restaurants. This was the first time we have eaten at the Central. The overall facade is not very encouraging and one could be forgiven for giving it a pass. It is a little off putting to have a TV belting out disco music and videos, but you can choose to eat in the central dining area which is quieter. The menu is extensive enough to be a suggestion that nothing is done well. We made our choices from the good spread of local/regional dishes and found them to be excellent both in quality and quantity. So much so that we decided to go again and were equally impressed. We did not try the pizzas at all but it is worth mentioning that the pizza bar and oven is separated from the main kitchen and has it's own chef. The wine list covered a number of modestly priced wines and there were good choices for beers and soft drinks. A really good find and I am sure that we will return next visit.
