Pendley Manor is a Victorian Country Manor House, site in 35 acres of beautifully landscaped and wooded parkland; and is the perfect country retreat for leisure breaks, weddings and conferences. Our conference and banqueting facilities are suitable for up to 250 people, including outside catered events for up to 200 guests. Our newly refurbished rooms are offering a spacious modern style, ample natural light and in-room climate control.
We stayed for one night in a family room over the Platinum Jubilee weekend. The hotel, which was decorated beautifully for the jubilee, is in a lovely quaint location with nearby shops and restaurants. It is ideally located for travelling to nearby attractions such as Whipsnade Zoo and the Harry Potter studio tour. The staff were very welcoming upon arrival and helpful throughout our stay. Having read the mixed reviews ahead of our stay, I was unsure what to expect. However, I have nothing but good things to report. Our well equipped room was clean and modern with a beautiful view over the grounds. My children particularly enjoyed looking out of the window at the peacocks and rabbits. The facilities (games room, swimming pool etc) are a great addition and provide valuable entertainment for young families. Plenty of additional towels were provided for pool use which was much appreciated. The breakfast was delicious with a great choice of cooked breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries etc. There was something for everyone. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

Escape to the country with Premier Inn Hotel Tring, in a rural location with lovely views. You could stay close to home and amuse the kids in our onsite play area, or make the most of nearby transport links and dash off to business and leisure destinations around Hertfordshire. Learn all about animals at Tring Natural History Museum, then get face to face with them at Whipsnade Zoo. Don your boots for an afternoon's stomp along the ancient Ridgeway. Then bed.
Was very pleasantly surprised at excellent service at reception; sorting out the details of my booking, and then from Laura in the Beefeater next door (The Crows Nest). The food is what it is, the restaurant very similar to so many others in the fleet; so the service is everything. Great to see people taking pride in what they do.

Decided to visit Aldbury as my wife visited there as a kid and I’d never been. A lovely village and the Greyhound Inn was perfect for lunch. I had the steak and ale pie and my wife had the gnocchi. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the food delicious. The portions were generous and service professional and attentive. Would go back without hesitation. Can imagine it gets very busy at weekends. Would recommend the footpath/ bridleway to Ashridge which is just round the corner for a lovely walk although it may be a bit steep for some.

You will find the Greyhound in Wigginton in the heart of the village. Step in to discover a traditional pub of unique character with friendly and welcoming staff, well known for its wide range of real ales and fresh food cooked by our award winning Head Chef Andy Batchelor.
Firstly the good, the cleanliness of the room and ensuite was excellent, as was the reception who was very helpful, the television set was great for the size of the room with full Sky programmes available and a bonus of Netflix, this latter leads me onto the indifferent, the only way to settle down and watch the tele for a while was to lay on the bed, no seats or chairs, further no wardrobe, just a hanging rail, bear in mind that the room was described as "Deluxe", certainly an over statement. Finally in Trip Advisor, it stated that breakfast was included, this was not so and not available. I paid £80.00 for a hotel room which was supposedly Deluxe and certainly was not. Next time I think I will use the Premier Inn.

Booked a twin room last minute on a bike trip with a friend for one night. Massively impressed with the value for money, place is spotless, facilities are excellent. Can't fault it! And there is a really nice pub close enough to stroll too but not to close to disturb your stay.
