I had such a great time on the Discovery cycle tour. Corrina (our very knowledgeable and accommodating guide) started the tour by going over a safety briefing, then she asked what particular interests we would like to cover during the tour. Our tour group was interested in birds, the flora and fauna of Rarotonga, and its history. Corrina did a great job trying to fit in as much as we could into the tour time. We visited some pretty amazing places like a family 'farm' with fruit I'd never seen on trees before (star fruit, mandarin, noni...). The tour had a mix of fitness abilities and Corrina made sure it was challenging enough for people who wanted to see more, and she ensured we took ebough rest stops for those who needed it. A highlight was trying all the fruit that was ripe in the season. Avocados! Star fruit! Mandarins! Mangoes! Coconut! Actually there were so many highlights I just have to mention two more: I really loved finding out about the medicinal plants like the wild basil and the plant with edible purple flowers and the candle nut. Lastly, the lunch was delicious. The fruit came from the chefs own garden. Highly recommend.
