Ranc Pod Babicou

Reviewed By MarcelaPomphrey - Bristol, United Kingdom

When my dad suggested to go to this place, I was expecting simple grab and a Slovakian styley ZOO ( couple of ducks, piggies, sheep, goats and maybe a cow).
The mini ZOO started off pretty idyllically- few cute baby goats running freely around the pond, some other birds and a baby lama. Then you see wallabies and other small creatures. The animals carved out of wood are pretty nice and popular with kids.
When you hear a lion roar, you start to get a bit suspicious. There is a lion in a cage in the middle of the pond! Bored of his head looking unhappy. Clearly not a place for the animal king!
It gets even worst that that- there is one bison in a space smaller than your average room.
There are two very sad looking brown bears, there is tiger, camels and the list of animals just goes on and on. With tears in my eyes, I left the place very upset.
I don't know what the rules are on keeping animals like lions and tigers, but this place looks pretty fishy to me!
We had a quick look into the restaurant, it is pretty basic and the foods looks cheap. Very tatty and cheap place. And one to avoid!

Oponice Castle

Reviewed By BarboraKas - Bratislava, Slovakia

It's a short walk/hike from the village and I would recommend taking it on a clear day bc of the view. Its a pleasant route through a forrest, however might be very muddy and slippery. There was no info in English on the information board of the castle and the castle is clearly in need of reconstruction but I'm glad we went as it completes the trio of things to see/do in Oponice (chateau, library, castle).

3D Kino Spolocensky dom

Reviewed By Andres P - Bogota, Colombia
