Firstly there is a fee for the Gardens at 4 Euros per adult. We unfortunately went in the rain where everything looks a bit grey but still pretty. The Gardens are a nice walk but nothing mind blowing. Perhaps better in the summer or when there is entertainment on in the park. Plenty of space for children to run around in. It can take a little while to walk round the Gardens, some parts have less to see than others. There is also a cafe and hotel which serves food and drink and a small art gallery. Wouldn’t go again just because of limited sights and the fee involved.

Adjoining indor and outdoor pools with various Waterfalls, water massages, sprays and jets, make for a wonderfully relaxing and healthy experience. We spent the morning and enjoyed it, althogh the seven different "textile free" saunas are a bit too risque for Americans with children. The attached cafeteria and weight equipment rooms which we didn't use could make this a fitness haven for many. It costs a lot more than an American pool, but it's not intended just as a bathing experience so much as a rejevenation "Erlebnis."

Kurhaus 'Der Hyllige Born'

Reviewed By presdient - Sydney

The term "der Hyliger Born" is the name of the spring which is under the dome attached to an ancient building in Bad Pyrmont. In the building there is a café that serves only coffee, icecream and cakes etc, - no meals. There are a few other shops selling souvenirs, cards and trinkets. There is also a tourist facility that enables you to taste the water of the 7 natural Springs in the immediate area. You can bring a cup with you for the water tasting, or otherwise put 20c into a machine and get a plastic cup. At the centre of the building is a room with seats and a stage. There was a chamber orchestra performing on the day we visited. Its free if you have purchased a Bad Pyrmont tourist card. There are clean public toilets in the building too.

Museum im Schloss Bad Pyrmont

The museum is in the Schloss itself. The grounds of the schloss are free to walk around, but to go inside the museum, the entry fee was only 4 euros, It was raining and cold outside. The exhibition took about 45 minutes to cover. There are a lot of pictures and items but only about 10% had an English translation. The exhibition is about Bad Pyrmont rather than the schloss house. There is currently a exhibition of German drug store advertisements too which lets you visit the upper rooms at the schloss. I would say that it was money well spent.

Lovely park and good value for money. The park is fairly small but there is enough to see. We particularly enjoyed seeing the monkeys who were very entertaining! We spent about an hour looking round and felt this was enough time to see all the animals. It caters for all ages and there is a play area for children as well as a cafe and small gift shop. You can purchase food for the animals and these are located in vending machines around the park. An enjoyable experience for all!
