This goes back to the days when men were men and the sheep were nervous. As whorehouses go this was upscale, where servicing cost $2, which is the equivalent of about $500 today. Our guide was very knowledgeable and after her basic information she let us wander around and see the place for ourselves. A fascinating learning experience.

Eggemeyer's General Store

You cannot believe how surprised we were to accidentally run into this huge General Store. It is something to be admired when so many other towns with historic buildings have simply boarded them up. Its a lovely 3 part store now with beautiful restoration of the interiors and exterior. The goods are so varied that everyone should find something wonderful and special in there. Its clean and cheerful and there are big, fun, model airplanes hanging from the ceilings....bit ones, colorful and quite detailed. The guys loved them as much as the girls. Lots of samples in the kitchen area are offered...and they are fresh and clean. Staff was friendly, helpful but not obtrusive. We loved this place. Its a real treat now just before Christmas....but I imagine it is nice all year round. If you wonder where it is ...its part of Concho Corners an very nice shopping and dining area.

This was by far the most fun we had, lots of trains setup in the upstairs of the building and downstairs has all the train memorabilia. The guide who showed us around was awesome and when a train came into the station he ran like a kid to take my 9 year old to see it up close and personal!
