I think something went wrong in the kitchen the day we were here, cause everything took more than normal, even the bread to eat with "pebre" took like 20 min and were only crumbs. The food was not bad, tasty enough but the time wait was a disaster.

This is a grill (asado) restaurant, built entirely of local woods harvested from the bottom of Lago Lican Ray where they were cut years ago, but lost when boats sank. The owner will provide a lovely description of his family's adventure to salvage these from the lake dry them FOR 10 YEARS before they wee ready to be used to build the restaurant walls and furniture of this place. The food is wonderful, the setting gorgeous, and service suberb!

Los Ulmos de Chinura is hands down...the best restaurant in Lican Ray. They specialise in meats on the grill but don't miss their trout or pastel de jaiba (crab casserole) if available. With a friendly staff and cozy ambiance...it is not to be missed if you are in Lican Ray!

Deben tener las mejores tortas del lago Calafquén, son muy ricas y si mandas a hacer una, su dueño, te pregunta: "¿como la quiere?" ..y realmente lo dice en serio, las preparan tal como la pidas tú. Sólo hacen de un tamaño, 20 a 25 personas y el costo es de $25000. La decoracion no es lo de ellos, pero el sabor es lo que las hace únicas!.
El local también tiene unas mesitas en la terraza para ordenar algun generoso trozo de las tortas de la vitrina

I am very happy to enjoy the great local food after last summer. A great surprise to find their hydroponic lettuce available in their salad menu. Congratulations for being organic and locavore.
Muy feliz de gustar la comida local despues de un año. La gran sorpresa fue sus lechugas hidroponicas disponible en su menu de ensaladas. Felicitaciones por ser organico y locovoro.

En mi estadia en Lican Ray encontre escondido en unos nuevos locales por la calle principal paso la Plaza este local "El bajón del Chispa". El local llevaba 4 días de su inauguración, es un espacio pequeño atendido por sus dueños, una pareja Joven muy atentos y entusiastas con su pequeño negocio....Y lo anterior se nota por lo rico de los productos que ofrecen, nos servimos unas hamburguesas que estaban muy ricas, la hamburguesa (carne) es de elaboración propia y por lo menos cuando fuimos la hicieron en el momento al igual que los jugos naturales en el instante...El toque Gourmet esta en las salsas y decoración de las hamburguesas como tal.
Considerando que el menu es 4 tipos de hamburguesas y los AS igual cae dentro de lo sano por el tipo de ingredientes y preparación.
Se los recomiendo a los que en este instante estén disfrutando de Lican Ray y los que estén pensando ir, a mi parecer "El bajón del Chispa" un local que deben conocer!!

Restaurant with good appearance, care, clean but that is a hygienic trap.
the food was served slowly and with hairs inside when showing it to the waiter, he did not want to change the dish and he did it in a bad way and then bring another dish that was very badly made and of poor quality.
The other dishes arrived cold and then reheated them, remaining terrible, impossible to eat.
Please do not go to this restaurant, you will surely have a bad experience.
