Field of Blackbirds

To understand the emotions Kosovo stirs in the Serbs, you have to go back to 1389, to the Battle of Kosovo Polje—the Field of Blackbirds—one of the largest battles ever fought in medieval Europe. Here a Christian alliance tried to block the northward advance of the invading Ottoman Turks.

Bill Clinton Statue

Reviewed By X5564XMjimh - Chisinau, Moldova

USA President Bill Clinton is a national hero in Kosovo. Locals speak highly of him and they should. He has a boulevard named after him and a fantastic statue in his honor. President Clinton was hear in Prishtina in 2009 addressing Kosovars. Kosovars are so friendly and when locals found out President Clinton was my Commander in Chief, they wanted to hear President Clinton stories. Very respectful!
