Reviewed By BobV1374What to say: we really loved this authentic Tuscan farm at the entrance of a spectacularly well-preserved village as Casale Marittimo. The rooms are very cool and old style and the breakfast is simple and traditional. Benedetta is very gentle as well as her nice dog.

Farmhouse Il Poggio Delightful small town situated between the sea and the village of Casale Marittimo hills that are encountered going from the coast of the Etruscans, that of the "Poggio" is home to the farm with its principal buildings and the large pool. All around, including trees, Mediterranean forests and crops typical single-family developments are located in other stone completely independent as a real country house. The farmhouse Il Poggio has six apartments: two studio apartments four two-roomer apartments a room with bath.
Great stay in Tuscany, close to the sea and scenic village
Reviewed By 589reinholdfGreat stay! We had the small stone house near the pool that is also shown on the picture above. Ideal choice for a couple! The olive tree near the patio provides shade for part of the patio, so you always have the choice for sun or shadow. You can see the sunset into the tyrrhenian sea from the pool. Simonetta, Franca and Gianfranco are great and helpful hosts. Do not forget to book the dinner that they serve once a week - great local high-quality food. The scenic village of Casale Marritimo is about 1.5 km away. About the same distance to village Bibbona. Both have plenty of bars and restaurants to spend the evenings. Will definitely come back again!

Reviewed By Andy23463After finding a parking spot on the road by the church, we set off in search of the apartments, and after taking a right turn down one of the narrow streets, we came across our accommodation very easily. Marco welcomed us and showed us to a beautiful apartment. I am sure they are all beautiful apartments in this small block. The view was outstanding and we were able to watch the most beautiful sunset ever. Checking in and out was very simple and done with a smile. The apartment was spacious and spotless and had more facilities than we needed for our short stay. The town of Casale Marittimo is charming, with a good choice of bars, restaurants and shops. We loved it all.

Reviewed By Louise BWe chose to stay here for two nights at the end of our holiday in Tuscany as it was fairly close to Pisa airport and a large water park to keep the kids happy! Honestly we were blown away with the style, beauty, attention to detail and fantastic welcome from the owner Valentino! If we had known how fabulous this place was, we world have booked to stay here the entire time! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We will definitely be returning!

Reviewed By Ales PSuch a warm and welcoming couple that runs this place that you wont find something similar. We were staying there last year suring our honeymoon and had our best stay and best days in Toscana because of them. The facility is just lovely and warm, plenty of room the nicest view and clean. They do some cooking classes and cook for the guests on some days. Let me say that we experienced a type of kindness we wouldn't expect. Since we were travelling with a motorbike and it was raining the owners decided to cook the best wildhog dish i've ever tasted only for us. It was because they've seen that we couldn't leave the place. We have returned yeaterday only to pay them a visit after a year and drunk a coffee together,this time with our 3 month old daughter. The same warm and lovely welcome, the same welcoming atmospehere as we would have never left. You know the feeling when you get somewhere and immediately feels like home? No? In this case you werent here. A MUST GO place and the best stay by far!

It's only 9 km from the sea, on the slope of the famous Tuscan hills, among olive and pine trees, surrounded by monumental oaks.There are 58 comfortable villas at different sizes, suitable for families from 2 to 6 persons, in an environment that has been designed as the scheme of an antic Tuscan village.All apartments include a huge living room - together with kitchen and dining room - , a double bedroom, a children's room, bathroom with shower, and balcony or porchway, all are absolutely comfortable.

Reviewed By Karen LBooked an apt and stayed 10 days. Have recommended to others who have stayed and loved it. A lot to do on the property which has swimming pools, bars, pizza place, fancy restaurant, market, ice cream spot, nature trails, bikes, tennis and kids activity area. Also laundromat. Went down for fresh bread and croissants everyday which needs to be ordered btw in advance. We stayed onsite some days and other days explored surrounding areas. Need a car as no public transport into town. Offer bus trips from the resort for anyone not wishing to drive on their own. Owners very friendly and hope to go back again.

The farm is located in a quiet hilltop of Tuscany, in high Maremma,a few kilometers from the beaches of the EtruscanCoast, with a splendid view on the sea. Its location allows to visit the art cities of Tuscany :Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Florence. It consists of 2 tworoom and 2 threeroom apartments. It disposes of swimming pool, playground, barbecue, internal parking, restaurant, WI-FI in the common area.

Reviewed By SisinaluAbbiamo trascorso una settimana in questa struttura insieme al nostro gruppo di amici. Ci sono 4 appartamenti, "ricordi felici" con 5 posti letto, "bocca dei tini", con 2 posti letto, "nido di rondini" con 6 posti letto e "caminone" con 7 posti letto. La particolarità è rappresentata dal fatto che tutti gli appartamenti sono in collegamento tra loro e si può andare con facilità da uno all'altro. Nel nostro caso, avendo affittato l'intera struttura, era perfetto. Il casale ha poi due forni a legna funzionanti e il barbecue per ottime grigliate. All'esterno un enorme giardino dotato di due zone per mangiare, tra cui un enorme tavolo in pietra sotto ad un gazebo. Nel complesso per noi è stata una buona scelta, molta tranquillità e libertà di fare ciò che volevamo in mezzo alla campagna della Val di Cecina e vicinissimi al mare e ai tanti bellissimi borghi che punteggiano la zona. Unico appunto: la struttura è una tipica casa del passato, con finestre molto piccole, tutta in pietra ed esposta al sole tutto il giorno, quindi nelle camere fa caldissimo. Sinceramente andrebbe dotata di un impianto di condizionamento, o quanto meno di ventilatori funzionanti. Non affitterei un singolo appartamento per mancanza di privacy. Peccato non ci fosse la piscina.
