It was formally designated as a new town on 23 January 1967, with the design brief to become a "city" in scale. It is located about 45 miles (72 km) north-west of London.

We recently went to see The Jersey boys at this lovely theatre. The show was fantastic music and songs very professional . The car parking in the multi-storey was excellently situated and very reasonable. However do be warned that the price of a small tub of icecream at £4.50 and a small wine served in a plastic container at £8.10 very expensive.

There isn’t a bad seat in the house. The Stables is a beautiful venue and the heart beat of Milton Keynes providing music, comedy and theatre to all. Staffed by wonderful volunteers who are helpful and lovely. It is a magical and intimate venue with an amazing line up of events. Even the car parking is pretty good..... and free!! Highly recommend this venue for a great night out.

The Comedy Cow is situated in a private function room upstairs at The Crown.Seating is allocated at tables in a candlelit room. There is a bar and two intervals throughout the night.Every night has five comedians and full listings can be found on the website.
