Old but functional, it works, good price
Reviewed By Jaime Gmo GStayed one night only. Loved the lawns and parking lot which is secure. Very friendly staff. Good price. It is an old hotel, probably from the 1980's mostly not renovated, but clean and everything works. Good location if you are looking to avoid downtown. I would definitely come back. Wish I would have tried the restaurant because it looked nice. Huge swimming pool!!

Amazing on every level!
Reviewed By BrigitteBachmannWe spotted the hotel sign quite a long way ahead of Cordoba, so we kept track of our distance, and kept our fingers crossed they would accept Ceiba, our dog. Layfer Express is located off the toll road. Parking is "gated", monitored an well lit. The hotel is pretty new, modern and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities we could ask for, and more. The atmosphere is quiet and calming. The rooms are very spacious, airy and bright. The windows have sun and black out blinds. The beds are fabulously comfortable. The bathrooms are fully tiled with glassed in showers. All the rooms, lobby, restaurant and bar are ground floor and surround the pool and garden area. Lots of places outside the hotel to walk the dog. The restaurant menu is quite extensive and our dinners and breakfasts were delicious, fresh and plentiful. The garden patio is a wonderful place to unwind and have a drink. But what impressed us most about Layfer Express, was Oscar and the staff. They made us feel very much at home and we truly appreciated the kindness and generosity extended to us. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Wonderful Hotel in Cordoba on the Zocalo
Reviewed By Travel-KennectionWe thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel in Córdoba, Veracruz, MX. The things that impressed me the most were the bright airy feeling, the cleanliness, the beautiful architecture and tile work, and the comfortable rooms offered at this hotel. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it took a long time for the hot water to reach the shower once you turned on the water, and the wifi was spotty in our room. There was a strong wifi signal in the beautiful and comfortable lobbies present on each floor of the hotel so it really didn't matter much. The hotel is right across the street from the beautiful cathedral that fills the east side of the zocalo in Cordoba. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and things to see in Cordoba like the marketplace and the zocalo. We took a cab from the ADO bus station to the hotel, but local buses also run to the hotel. Overall, staying at the Hotel Virreynal helped to make our first visit to Cordoba a pleasurable and memorable experience. Don't miss the creatively beautiful painting of the zocalo in the hotel lobby.

Reviewed By LilimalouC’est un hôtel idéalement situé parce qu’on peut aller à pied au zócalo, se restaurer dans le centre ville. Si on a une voiture, il y a un parking sécurisé juste en face de la rue. C’est un endroit très calme. Les prix sont très raisonnables. Après il faut faire des concessions.. Dans nos chambres, il n’y avait pas d’air conditionné, seulement un ventilateur. Autant dire que la nuit est très chaude! Dans ma chambre, j’ai cru d’abord que le drap du dessous était sale mais en y regardant de plus près, en fait il était taché... et en plus déchiré.. j’ai un peu de mal avec ces choses là.. Mais bon pour une nuit..

Reviewed By babyboomercanberraWe chose this hotel on the basis of a previous review, that it was a quiet hotel..Wrong! It was the noisiest night we have spent in Mexico...all night karaoke, disco music and mariachi band practice, all in one. We were put in the 3 rd floor at the back, which faces onto the street as well. This is a pity as the hotel is new. There is no lift!

Reviewed By Emiliano DEstoy aún queriendo hacer el checkout pero ni siquiera pueden hacerme una factura en el momento. Desde que llegas, te obligan a pagar en el ingreso. Las toallas "limpias" llenas de cabellos ajenos, el baño bastante incómodo en tamaño. Tiene una mini cocina con microondas, pero no son capaces de brindar un sólo vaso o un frigobar. (Sabiendo que no hay ni un kiosco cercano) El WIFI? Ni hablar, en ningún momento de la estadía pude conectarme o visualizar siquiera la red. Televisión? Solo 1 canal porque no funciona el control remoto. Después de ver las toallas en ese estado, dormís bastante incomodo en sabanas de dudosa procedencia. Muy ruidosos los pasillos, se escucha todo. Podrían mejorarlo con muy poco. Brindar lo básico es por lo que uno paga. Seguí buscando que por este precio hay muchos mejores en Cordoba. ????????????

Ubicado en el corazón de la ciudad, en el histórico edificio en donde se firmaron los Tratados de Córdoba, este pequeño hotel, remodelado con un gusto exquisito, cuenta con habitaciones temáticas bien equipadas, limpias y pudiéramos decir, artísticas. Las amenidades, excelentes: L'Occitaine en el baño (con una ducha generosa), café express de cápsula en la habitación (cortesía), y todo lo demás. Nos quedamos en la suite 'Mulata de Córdoba'; recomendamos al viajero escoger una habitación lo más alejada posible de la calle, dado el bullicio natural de un primer cuadro de ciudad veracruzana. A mejorar, el servicio matutino errático y poco amable en Recepción; la persona encargada del turno vespertino, Elizabeth, otra cosa: amable, servicial y eficiente. El restaurante Balcón del Zevallos, en la planta alta, muy recomendable (aunque no forma parte del hotel). De agradecer, el servicio cordial por parte de la encargada del lugar, Yolanda, quien con una sonrisa eterna y un equipo de trabajo competente resuelve siempre.
