Less than an hour drive from Sendai, there are 3 viewing areas: one a short set of stairs down from the Botanical Gardens parking lot, one from the bridge over the river below, and one by walking 5-10 minutes down some steeper stairs to the bottom of the falls themselves. The bowl of the falls is covered in lush moss and other greenery. Quite beautiful and recommended.

Distribution of 16 meters in height. There is "Sister waterfall" nearby, and it is collectively called "Sister waterfall". The horizontally overlapping ground of andesite and tuff creates a cave at the bottom due to years of water erosion, and part of the water flow falls into a waterhole in the cave and overflows again.
