We discovered this beach at the end of our day driving the Wild Atlantic way. In hindsight, we should have driven straight here and just hanged out at the beach. We arrived here without any beach gear (swim suits, towels etc), but it didn't matter. We were just happy to walk or sit on the gorgeous white sandy beach, play in the crystal clear water and admire the beauty of the landscape. We had only allowed ourselves an hour here, next time we'll make sure that we can spend most of the day to relax at the beach.

We have been making unique porcelain and stoneware in Roundstone since 1981. Rosemarie O'Toole decorates porcelain thrown by her husband Seamus Laffan. She also makes an extensive range of porcelain jewellery. Her artwork on paper is available framed and unframed. A wide range of durable handmade tiles decorated by Rosemarie is on offer & we can design plaques for house names or business use. We also make a wide range of distinctive domestic stoneware and are happy to take on orders for same. Our work is available exclusively from our studio, opening daily 10-6. Off season please ring to confirm but we are there most days. It should not be confused with the imported industrial ware sold as ' Roundstone Pottery ' throughout the country since 2011, which has no connection with us or this village.
We recently phoned Seamus the Potter and asked him to send us 2 teacups. They were beautifully decorated by Rose and made excellent gifts. Much appreciated by the recepients.

I was looking for a personalized coat of arms bodhran as a wedding gift for a June 2020 date. I wanted it to be from an Irish artist and location and was so happy to find Malachy back in Feb 2020. His response time via email to numerous questions was excellent, his knowledge and guidance in my purchase was also excellent. Not to mention his patience, due to the pandemic the wedding date was up in the air and Malachy kindly held off putting a date on the bodhran until we had a new date set. The finished gift looks amazing and is a work of art to be admired for years to come. We look forward to making his shop a must visit place when we eventually get home to celebrate a new wedding date of July 2021. Thank you Malachy and stay safe and healthy all.
