Formerly known as The Hospice, St John's House is the oldest habitable dwelling in the town, c.1511. Described by the Royal Commission as: "A Hearth Passage house, the crenellated beams at The Hospice are the only known domestic examples in Glamorgan; the architectural detail is not only of high quality but increasingly lavish timber detail signals the hierarchy of rooms." Wiggleys Fun Farm

After reading some mixed reviews I didn’t know what to expect but I’m so glad we chose to visit Wiggley’s Farm! I’d say that it’s probably aimed at smaller children, maybe around 2-10yrs. My son who is 2 and a half had an amazing time!! The indoor play area is huge, the outdoor area is a really good size and there are enough animals to keep the littles entertained. We had a coffee which was reasonably priced. I read some reviews which criticised the prices of food and drink but it’s no more expensive than any other play area you’d visit. It cost us just over £7 for 4 of us (the baby was free plus 1 adult) and that included the 2 bags of animal food we bought. Staff were friendly and it was well kept and tidy. Anyone who complains about this place is obviously never happy! For the price I don’t know what you’re expecting! If you’re looking for somewhere rain or shine I’d recommend! We’re definitely going to return. Thanks Wiggley’s!

On a recent visit to McArthur Glen Designer Outlet I was pleasantly surprised by the number and variety of shops at the Outlet. There were the usual Designer Stores but some new ones had been opened in time for the Christmas season. There is a Food Court plus a number of cafes for morning coffee. A covered play area is available for children and plenty of free parking. There are excellent toilet facilities (no queuing here). I would recommend wrapping up warm though on colder days as the area can become a wind tunnel.
