the food is excellent, especially the pan fried cod and pan fried cod tongues (a delicacy). the service was great, waiters friendly and atmosphere and view are awesome overlooking the river.

It sits on the main drag of Goose Bay Happy Valley, so finding it is no problem. When you enter, you're welcomed with a clean and well lit dining area. The place was half full with customers and the staff were buzzing around tending to the tables. We arrived with nine in our party and were seated in good time, considering we didn't call ahead. The table staff was very polite, patient and gave us professional service. The menu was the basic Pizza Delight arrangements and offered a good selection. The food took a bit of time to reach our tables but the drinks kept coming while we waited, which was good. The food was generally good and up to par. I have now tried just about every choice of dining in Goose Bay over the past eight weeks and this place lands in the top two. Nothing spectacular but pretty good.

I'm writing this review as a play by play. I'm in Goose-bay because my flight was cancelled. Mariners Galley is so far so good. The restaurant is not very busy, so getting a seat and a menu was a breeze. Greeted by a genuine friendly smile from the young lady, and a pop delivered in no time! Let's let this play out lol! Food on the table in reasonable time. And another bright smile! Home fries were good, so was the fried chicken. Creamy coleslaw was delicious, but not enough.
Overall,
A good meal, friendly service, I'm in the north so as the saying goes "you pay a little more in Labrador".
Would certainly recommend for the fried chicken dinner!

With a broad menu from Salads, chicken, ribs, steak, etc., they have something to satisfy all appetites. Good draft beer and wine in a tasteful sports bar atmosphere. The waiters were friendly and efficient and we had our meal without delay. This restaurant is ideally situated in Hotel North 2, making an ideal convenient place to stay and to dine.

We ordered an all meat pizza to eat in and a supreme with pretty well everything you want to go for later. both pizzas are great. I think they make sure they have great fresh items to put on the pizza. We will continue to get pizzas from this local favorite as long as they remain open.
