English speaking friendly staff 3. very clean rooms, good aircon, daily cleaning available upon request, quiet pension 4. free parking - Cons 1. Bushes need to be trimmed as they were covering the English sign so we could not find the hotel upon arrival at night. Overall, this was a good place for my wife and I for a last minute trip to Sokcho.

Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Full amenities including basic cosmetics for men and women, and bath supplies. Kind and professional staff, good service. Convenient internet reservation system and 24-hour immediate response. Free wi-fi available. Lots of dining places around hotel. Big parking lot. My family stayed for 2 nights in mid August. There was nothing to say unsatisfactory!!

We stayed in this room by pure coincidence but we were so happy we did! The apartment is a great size with two bedrooms, perfect for a family. The apartment even comes with a sauna and hot tub on the balcony! The children particularly enjoyed the hot tub! The apartment is very well equipped and an enjoyable place to spend time with the family. Pension Basso is run by a truly lovely couple who could not be more helpful. Their English is good and they were wonderful and patient with our young children. A simple yet beautifully presented breakfast is prepared each morning in a lovely room complete with board games and an extensive collection of the latest and greatest DVD's. We haven't been particularly impressed with the quality of Bed and Breakfasts or Air B and B options in Korea, Pension Basso is a unique find, we would love to return. My only note is that the beds are Korean style firm, we were fine for two nights but I do like a softer bed! The other plus points are the fact you can watch the sunrise from the ocean in the distance from the top floor terrace. The Pension is within easy walking distance to the rocky beach and pleasant area to stroll along the seafront. We travelled to Seoraksan National Park and Pension Basso is about a 10 minute drive to the car park for the cable car. Emart is also only a 10-15 minute drive away. I highly recommend a weekend away at Pension Basso and Seoraksan!

Great room - Fantastic people
Reviewed By mdl89Stayed here for 4 nights and we totally recommend this place. The room is big and its nice to have the possibility to cook. The staff was very helpfull on many points like a last minute day early arrival (we requested it like 24 prior to arrival) but also they gave us a breakfast to go on the day we left (becaused it was to early to get the regular breakfast). Really great people, one of the best examples of Korean hospitality. Breakfast is western style (coffee, croissant, bun with jam and butter) in their nice and hipster style cafe/coffee lounge downstairs. Location is A, very close to the express terminal.

Quite expensive on comparison
Reviewed By 2swisstravelersThe pension was really difficult to find as there is not English sign. The owner neither speaks English. Anyway we got our rooms. The pension is not in the center but we could fine a very nice seafood restaurant within 10 minutes walk along the sea shore. We spent 1 night there, 2 studios. Accomodation is basic but comfortable. The room is not very spacious. Equipments are simple, bathroom is small. Our stay was pleasant but it was quite expensive in comparison to other accomodations we had in Korea.

Но в целом номера соответствовали своей цене, вид на море из номера имелся, но сначала имелся вид дорогу, а через дорогу уже вид на пляж :). В номере есть мини-кухня, есть балкон, самое главное для европейца - в номере есть кровать (для экстремалов можно выбрать номер без кроватей). Обстановка и оформление номера более чем скромные, однако все необходимое есть. В целом нам понравилось. Персонал очень дружелюбный, хотя по-английски не говорят. Вай фай есть, хороший. Уборку в номере делали, но особо чистотой не заморачивались. До моря 3- 4 минуты пешком. В сентябре море теплое и совсем нет людей на пляже. По дороге к морю есть маленькая плантация красного перца. По утрам мимо окон делали пробежку люди в военной форме :). Не ждите от отеля много, это простой и бюджетный вариант.
