Reviewed By 01andreaLa cordialità dei proprietari unita ad una struttura tenuta alla perfezione rende un weekend perfetto. Camere belle con tutto il necessario, i biscottini in regalo erano buonissimi, ottima la soluzione colazione che ti spinge a visitare i portici del 1400 del centro di Pieve di teco. Per la prossima gara di motocross alla colla torneremo di sicuro.

The Hotel Negro is located in the quiet hinterland of Liguria, in a typically Ligurian estate surrounded by nature. A little piece of heaven!
Reviewed By Michael RCenova is a quite astoundingly beautiful location and the Hotel Negro is its perfect complement. Our room was simply furnished but very comfortable, spotlessly clean, great value and with amazing views across the valley. Luigi Negro the owner is very welcoming and produces wonderful food, beautifully cooked and in prodigious quantity accompanied by his own wine. He emphasises the "legere" nature of the cooking, having quite a few words to say about the excess of butter in French cuisine (an ancient Italian/French rivalry it appears!). The lovely pool was also a godsend as the temperatures were well into the 30's. We were only there for two nights but were able to sample a couple of the walks in the area - up to the lovely little chapel of San Bernardo (take path S1 rather than S2 as the latter is not so well maintained and suffers from a few rockfalls onto the path). The path down to Lavina was a no-go as it was too overgrown.

Pros and cons
Reviewed By intelbynicPros: the owner is the kindest person ever, the breakfast is good, the place is safe, wifi works, the town is a little forgotten gem from the 1500. It worth a stop. Park just in front. Cons: room and bathroom kind of small, no air condition and if you need to sleep like me with open window you hear a bell every half an hour, chatting in the street and smell the smoke of cigarettes from downstairs. I ended up here by chance as the price was honest so I drove 40 miles out of my route otherwise I don't think I would have considered anyway in the end I weighted more the pros than the cons.

Reviewed By ivanpattiIl posto non è male abbiamo lasciato l'appartamento in n ordine e prima dell'orario previsto su booking ho fatto una recensione da 8 e lo non riesci a modificarla perché a mio modesto parere è un bel voto, ma a quanto pare alla sig.proprietaria non è andato bene lei voleva solo voti alti ,io capisco che il voto influisce , ma se per me è da 8 e ripeto non è male per me è da 8. Ma la signora come dicono molti è gentile ,lei , molto cortesemente mi ha telefonato dicendomi che a me non mi avrebbe mai più ospitato e io non riuscendo nemmeno a dire la mia che ribadiva il voto da 8 molto carina quale è mi attacca il telefono in faccia.(quindi se andate lì le cose sono 2 o mettete 9/10 o non votate) cara sig. Il telefono in faccia la prossima volta non lo chiuda a nessuno.
