Very disappointed but I guess you get what you pay for and it was cheap. The stairs and"receiption"were awful, dirty and depressing. We had to ask for the bed linen to be changed as it was covered in black dots from something. Behind the cupboards there was allot of cornflakes !! Broken floor tiles in the bathroom and just generally grubby everywhere. Bizarrely there were food crumbs and popcorn under the mattress ? I want to make it clear that I wouldn't normally examine a hotel room so closely but I was very unhappy with having to stay in the room. I tried but couldn't find anything I could afford. I'll make sure I book earlier and better in the future.

Stayed in garden room for 2 nights from 20/05/22 at cost of £550. Grossly overpriced for what is on offer. At half the price and as a 3 star establishment it would have been reasonable Room nice but mattress clearly needs replacing and totally uncomfortable. The place clearly concentrates on its functions and not its hotel. Totally understaffed with clearly incompetent management with much totally untrained junior staff who have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Breakfast on first day reasonable but on the second day when there were functions taking place, a total shambles. Quality of food in the restaurant at best mediocre. And no point in trying to get service from Reception as the 1 person generally there does not even time to answer they phone WOUL DEFINITELY NOT GO AGAIN AND CERTAINLY NOT RECOMMEND

Don’t know where to begin the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in by far. The rooms were filthy dirty (see the photos) beds were uncomfortable. We stayed here as a overnight due to an early morning flight. I’ve come away absolutely fuming how they can charge for a room so dirty. To me it looks like a contractors hotel which there were several. I shall be getting in touch with Ramada soon as I’m home. Really shocked I large worldwide hotel chain has a hotel to this standard. Nothing good at all here and the noise at night as it’s in a motorway service

We booked this as we were going away early the next day from Stansted Airport it was £39 for the night cheap and cheerful we expected it to be OK but we got a shock!! The place was filthy the room really run down and had oil filled electric radiators as heating! The toilet looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for weeks the shower was disgusting I braved it with my socks on!! The receptionist on arrival had the attitude that she didn't want to be there! We would never stay here again even if it was so cheap.

Terrible service through the app. Little or no response when messaging them. Room although a good size. It was not that clean, the shower was far too hot to use…nothing worked to cool it down. Just got hotter so couldn’t use it. Tv and wifi basic. Had trouble getting into the room, I didn’t enjoy this place

After being let down by a big chain hotel, the Hunter's Meet seemed like a lovely place for my mum to spend her birthday. They advertised an afternoon caberet on their website, which I booked not knowing what to expect. The meal they served upon arrival was delicious, but also plentiful. It was followed by coffee and entertainment. The singer, Debbie, was an amazing singer and encouraged everyone to sing and dance along to classics like Vera Lynn, then Tom Jones and Elvis. My mum loved it! The singer had went around the room chatting to everyone before hand, so she found out that there were a few birthdays in the room. It was a lovely birthday treat for my mum to be sang to by an entire room. We felt looked after the whole time we were there. The staff chatted to us, asking if we were enjoying ourselves. We were told about the pool and the breakfast the next morning. There's also an on site gym to use. The next morning, we were struggling to get a taxi back to the train station, but the person on reception told us to leave the taxi with him and guided us to a lovely breakfast. The taxi came early and we caught our train back. I don't post much on trip advisor, but I appreciate amazing customer service when I experience it and give recognition were it's deserved. Thank you all at Hunter's Meet!

Family run Edwardian Guesthouse only 600 metres from the train station in the historic market town of Bishop's Stortford with its many shops and restaurants. Fast access to Stansted airport, London and Cambridge. Free WiFi. Good home cooked breakfast using good quality free range and organic produce. French also spoken.
I'm sure we were not the easiest of guests as arrived early needing to change before a wedding and then arrived back late at night. However, none of this was an issue for Paulette and Peter and they facilitated all our requests. They were also on hand to provide a decent breakfast when we awoke. All in all it provided everything we could have asked for and was good value for money.
