Del Mar Race Track is a popular, long time Thoroughbred track that was once a hangout spot for Hollywood's biggest stars. It has a race season in November called The Bing Crosby season. Sundays are free admission and any day is fine to go and see some great racing.Plenty of parking and easy to get to.

Had so much fun the day we went. $1 programs, $1 beers & mimosas and $1 hotdogs. It was a little chilly on the day we went so we took are drinks and hot dogs and paid the extra fee to go upstairs to the Turf Club where another person in our group ordered chicken wings. It was so easy to bet using the machines. Upstairs you can sit inside or outside and have a place to sit your food and drinks down. I cannot wait to go back.

This was a great place for a family gathering. we meet here a couple of times a year because we are so spread out. We gather a couple of tables and eventually everyone shows up. What we do is make our bets for the first 3 races so we can socialize for a while. The kids have a great time, we all do. It is so much fun when someone wins. $2.00 night is the best time if you have kids and lots of people. We love this place, just wish it was open all year instead of just a few months.
