I’m ashamed to say this review is long overdue. We had the pleasure of experiencing Milan as our private guide over the 2019 Thanksgiving holiday. Well prior to arrival, Milan asked thoughtful and insightful questions to ensure he tailored our experience to our liking. Our family prefers to experience history off beaten path and Milan more than delivered. Our young daughter learned of Marie Antoinette and the revolution in school and is captivated by their long reaching historical significance. Milan’s planning made history come alive. He tied so many wonderful historical pieces together and helped her to recreate one of the photos from a textbook that he brought. That single photo has found its way into her current studies and we have no doubt that the experience Milan created could likely be the catalyst to a future career in humanities. He was also able to obtain tickets to a special showing of Marie Antoinette’s gowns. We were pleasantly provided with background and insight that simply doesn’t exist in typical travel guides. Our son was learning French at the time, and Milan helped him with his phonetics while we were in between destinations. Our friends and family still ask us to tell and re-tell the stories behind our photos. We have been longing to go back to Paris; to pick up right where we left off with Milan. Without a doubt, our experience would not have been as fantastic as it was without him. Ultimately, time will tell how much of a long term impact our experience with Milan has had on our kids, but make no mistake in that we considered it to be a little bit magical.

Pamela is amazing! She was very responsive and helped pull together a tour for our family (2 kids, 2 grandparents and 2 parents) of Paris. In our group were some who had been to Paris many times and some first-timers. The tour hit Paris highlights as well as incorporated some off the beaten path spots. She was also kind enough to help make recommendations on restaurants in the city. We were all set and very excited to take this tour together. Unfortunately, COVID travel restrictions caused us to cancel the whole trip. Again, Pamela was great. She was communicative through the refund process and stayed on top of our unfortunate cancellation. When we do make it to Paris (hopefully someday soon) we will definitely reach out to Pamela and finally go on this Parisian tour!

Our local guide (“small” Lawrence) was kind and knowledgeable, and logistics with her and the tour were seamless. Only recommendation would be to cut the wax museum visit (which comes at the end of the day) because by then, you’ve heard Therese’ story a lot and seen “real” sites so the wax museum seemed superfluous.
