Bradford-on-Avon Wharf

Bradford-on-Avon Wharf was once the busiest wharf on the Kennet & Avon Canal. Today, it’s a great place to spot historic canal features.

We had four days trying out a narrow boat on the Kennet and Avon Canal. It was cold but fun made a lot better by a warming visit to Baileys Barn where we had a welcome cuppa and a full English breakfast. The volunteers at the Canals and River Trust on the canal side lock were so helpful and friendly as I was terrified of letting all the water out of the Canal!
