Reviewed By EgolasFrom their website referring the superior room: “This spacious, air-conditioned suite features an LCD TV and a private bathroom with a shower or bath and free toiletries. There is a separate seating area with a sofa” Be aware that this is an intentionally wrong information to persuade the customer for booking the superior room (higher price that the regular room). We were in Chabbia room and it didn’t have a separate seating area, nor a sofa but 2 hard and uncomfortable wood chairs. I asked the person in the desk and he just gave me a poor explanation about every room being different but the truth is that I went for the superior room trusting the description in their website. In addiction, the quality of the mattress is very low and the bed sheets are from a rigid and thick material, making it not comfortable. The staff smokes in the lobby and there is a permanent unpleasant smell every time you walk in. The breakfast is varied although the pastry was too hard. As the pros, it is located in a central location and still is quiet at night. Not my first option if I ever come back to Tozeur.

Reviewed By PoleinaholeThis cozy guest house overlooking an oasis is set in a traditional house. Rooms are simple but spotlessly clean and there are large common areas with traditional furniture. There is a leafy garden and pool for the hot summer months and the traditional offset courtyard design is built to circulate air in the hot months. WIFi is fast and there is a TV in the lounge. The caretaker has been working there for decades and is very kindly and hospitable. Note that you should ask them for the best number to call to let you into the gated compound—I arrived in the evening and we called the no. on the Internet. No answer. Four days later the man called back!! We had to bang on the gate for the caretaker to hear us.... They can prepare dinner on request and advance notice. Breakfast is very simple and carby.

Stunning and incredibly relaxing
Reviewed By Emily NA couple of friends and I spent 2 nights at Dar Nejma on recommendation of our friend. We arrived, late, having driven down from Tunis, to this wonderful oasis. We were greeted by Salah, who really made our stay what it was - easy, blissful and stress free. As it was 9pm and we hadn't eaten since lunch time, Salah went and brought us food. A kind act that we were extremely grateful for. For the rest of our trip, we wanted for nothing, and Salah was so helpful with our excursion planning and very kind and friendly. Salah really was an absolute legend, as well as the beautiful place we were staying. All in all, a wonderful trip. And I couldn't recommend Dar Nejma enough for it's tranquility, peace and incredibly kind staff. Thank you for looking after us Salah, and we certainly will be back to visit all the other sites the South has to the offer!

Wifi is fantastic - better than what I had in Tunis! The staff are amazing, will help with anything. Breakfast is quite simple though...

Great hotel but the trip they organized was absolutely terrible.
Reviewed By koparanifHotel was very clean and good located. Noone spoke english. I asked for a daily trip and Mr. Tayyaep came along. He spoke English. I asked for an English speaking guide. I paid 100 euros for a trip and Mr Tayyeap promised me that only he can do THE BEST. In the afternoon a guy came with a jeep and the most terrible trip of life time has begun. He spoke 0 english, he didnt even speak at all. While on the way i met many tourists which had guides who spoke perfectly english and told what was going on around. He kept playing this terrible music eventhough i kindly asked him to turn the sound off. He looked at me like "you are in my car what the hell!" he rushed me all the time and it was just him riding his car and playing his music until my ears bleeded. I had to stop him in many touristic places because he didnt really care or know what he was doing. I paid 100 euros for that trip and i know it is a lot for Tunisia. Do not be ripped off like me and do not book a trip with this hotel or Mr. Tayyaep! You can stay in the hotel though but the service they give is bad. NOT HONEST

The owner is very discreet but at the same time extremely helpful host who will make you'll see the best of the area ant the Sahara. Value for Money.

Reviewed By OscarAlvarezdeFizHabiendo llegado a Tozeur de noche y sin ninguna reserva, intentamos encontrar alojamiento en alguna casa de la medina. Entre nuestras idas y venidas vimos al Hotel Castilia -convenientemente situado en la avenida de entrada- pero su aspecto nuevo y funcional no encajaba en nuestras aspiraciones de "fundirnos en el tipismo local" tan propias de los turistas. Al no conseguirlo, decidimos ser prácticos y resignarnos a las bondades de la modernidad en el Castilia. No nos pudo ir mejor. Nuestra suite era espaciosa, bien amueblada y cómoda, sin ningún problema de ruido. La relación calidad/precio muy aceptable y todo el personal del hotel amable , eficiente y amistoso. Por su parte, el restaurante defendía muy bien la gastronomía local. Pero además, para suerte del Castilia, está Hedi, su gerente. Mucho debemos agradecer a su trato cordial, atento y la paciencia que nos tuvo para explicarnos -con un conocimiento de primera mano y en absoluto interesado- qué lugares eran de mayor interés y cómo optimizar nuestro tiempo. En pocos lugares se materializa tan bien aquel deseo de "llega como un cliente, vete como un amigo". Y si no le faltan al Castilia méritos como establecimiento, así fuera psolo por tan cálida experiencia, me permitiría recomendarlo.

Very dirty, very rude
Reviewed By LoveTravel706026You cant find this place ever!! There was no sign anywhere, not even in front of the house. The house was not clean and the kitchen was very dirty! The owner was very rude with a local person who help us to find his place!!! And even we have made reservation with breakfast and dinner, he refused that and he only deducted 30 tnd from the total amound we paid. If we were not so tired we ll get away!!!
