As you enter the restaurant you have an idea you are being taken on an exciting journey to somewhere good. The journey starts as you walk through a bamboo forest to the cathedral like space dedicated to the practice of eating good food. It's classy, spacious and gives you the sense something special is about to happen. We visited for my mother in laws 84th birthday and there were 7 of us ranging from 10 to 84! Attentive staff talk you through the options. We went for 2.5 kilos of beef. Scottish sirloin, Uruguayan PicaÅa and Australian t-bone. All arrived sizzling in their very own BBQ and pre-sliced chunks. The meat was hot, juicy, well seasond, cooked to perfection and DELICIOUSE! Safron potatoes, chargrilled vegetables and hand cut chips left us stuffed but satisfied. Wine selection was great and reasonable. Staff kept a close eye on us and were very attentive (thank you GiGi). All in all a wonderful night out. Save this one for the night you want a little luxury. let's start with the reason to visit it:-the beer is good, and the price for a microbrewery beer is very good, almost the same you pay for an heineken tap beer. really worth a try if you like good beer.- the place is nice - service was fast and efficientBUT- it lacks the warm atmosphere I expect in a microbrewery pub, the personnel is kind, but kind of cold. I love professional personnel, which try to understand the taste of the customer and give advices and descriptions because they love what they sell. This I didn't find. - food price is too high. we took "pork shank with vegetables" -but ... actually lacked the vegetables, there was an idea of vegetables of the size of three chickpeas , we really thought they forgot to bring them to the table! and the skin of the pork, which is my favourite part, was in large part not eatable, and I am trained also for the more challenging. it costed 17 euros plus 10% service. I don't think it deserved.Maybe we were unlucky. The fried potatoes we took to take the place of the vegetables we expected were very good.In any case even in case we were unlucky I don't like and idea of a beer place with only expensive food. Next time I will go just for the beer/- opening time at 8:30 even on sunday... isn't it a bit too late?- lady at the counter: cold kindness, I did not feel welcome neither when we arrived nor when we left. Maybe I went there the wrong day.

Briefly.....great quality beef, rosemary potato âchipsâ the star of show, nice wine, staff, service.....we feared a fast food shop but we were so pleasantly surprised...and a delightful young lady from Belarus in the sister shop next door, made for a great early evening in Cagliairi. Fabulous!!!

We went to this restaurant after reading some positive reviews...it wasnt bad or great! We had the mixed anitpasti...some nice some not, pasta with vongole which again was average then a dessert which was ok. It was far too warm in the restaurant (i except that it was summer but a little air would be nice) and the place was a typical trattoria style.

Went for lunch.You go there for meat and will have a nice portion of it, tasty and (I think) fresh.If you are after a full restaurant with a lot of different choices (fish or vegan) look elsewhere.Place not posh, not for romantic lunch or dinner but more of a trattoria where the locals (lunch during a pause from work) go. The restaurant is not in the centre of town and is near to a popular food market, in a more âperipheralâ area of Town.Staff friendly and smiling. Service fast enough, although as the place gets full naturally slows down. House wine is decent. You leave full and satisfied and your wallet stays in a good shape. Recommended.

My husband and I ate here while in Cagliari and were pleasantly surprised. We had so much Sardinian/Italian food already we were looking for a change and are so glad we decided to try El Sabor. The beef was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

We had a hankering for steaks with fries etc . A bit tired of pasta etc. My partner had the fillet steak accompanied with a wonderful peppercorn sauce and I went for the 350 g Angus Americano. Saw some good looking burgers go past to other tables. An interesting wine list with some well priced Dorgali reds .Great steaks and service and reasonably priced.Note they have horse on the menu.
