This was a fantastic tour! Ram introduced us to some amazingly tasty vegan dishes which we would never have found ourselves. The food stops took us through a variety of interesting neighbourhoods in the heart of the city giving us a much greater insight into the real Saigon than any standard tourist tour. Ram is a mine of information about Vietnamese history and culture and we really enjoyed finding out more about daily life in Saigon. Very good value and highly recommended!

The tunnels of Cu Chi are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Củ Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the Viet Cong's base of operations for the Tết Offensive in 1968. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance to American forces, and helped to counter the American military effort.

Experienced good service and knowledge from the Viet Journey office down at the riverside, especially from Dona. We booked the dinner cruise which was good quality and also they booked overnight train tickets for us to Nha Trang plus a Nha Trang hotel. Tickets were even delivered to our hotel. Would definately recommend Viet Travel.

Pro’s: - prompt pick up our hotel. - clean and safe vehicle, and well driven. Con’s: - Tour guide clearly had no idea of the strict rules in place at some of the venues e.g. that we could take photos outside of Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum. Told off by soldiers/guards multiple times. This shows a lack of understanding the rules and etiquette for someone who should be experienced. - Excuses were made when challenged. - Kept wandering off to get cash out. - Grasp of English limited and difficult to understand. Hard to engage and answer questions. - Trip seemed to finish very early (3hours), not really a half day tour.

We visited Vietnam for two weeks and this was the best tour during our stay. It’s a great way to see the real Saigon. I chickened out of the Vespa tour so our fabulous guide, Nana, arranged for us to travel by taxi. Nana is a warm, bubbly Vietnamese lady who is passionate about her work and Vietnam and speaks very good English. Nana introduced us to places where the locals go, the flower market, local eateries and the food and company were great. Don’t hesitated to book this tour, you won’t regret it.
