Willow Grove Farm

I've admired this farm's Facebook page since 2011.. Well, I finally took a few days and traveled from Long Island, NY for several trail rides and lessons in the arena. I was more than impressed with their string of well cared for Clydesdales and impeccably clean barn, not to mention the perfectly blown out feathers on the herd's legs. Spent three awesome days riding at Willow Grove and looking forward to returning again and again... If you're an experienced rider and looking to improve & refine skills they have some nicely trained horses. The trainer Morgan was a great teacher! Stayed at the Neighbour House B&B down the road and it was lovely.

We had amazing time on our first time at this Sunflower field. It was so beautiful they have a side where you can take pictures and enjoy the beautiful sunflower walk & another side where you can pick your own $2 each steam. Also they have pick your own veggies $6.99 the bag and you pick eggplants, tomatoes & peppers. We were so happy because this farm allowed our Coco Chanel 2 years old Chihuahua to be with us. I highly recommended!

Hacklebarney State Park

This park was hit hard by Superstorm Sandy in 2012 and has long since been forgotten by the State of NJ. Though some reviews mention the neglect (picnic areas) as a negative thing, I find it very uplifting to see nature reclaim what it owned in the first place. The trails are quite short for novice hikers and the red trail which is the most difficult (quite easy for me) is average for those looking for more of a challenge. This park being forgotten is what makes it so wonderful. No garbage, no loud, ignorant visitors, and no barking dogs to disturb the nature.
