I stop at this Dunkin Donuts every Saturday, prior to a scheduled Men's Study group I attend. I find the place very clean, and the attendants friendly. I usually order a dozen bagels and a coffee for myself. The food is fresh and the coffee hot. I don't know what else you could ask for.

This place has sustained very good quality bagels. Not many places around this area serve this quality (Dunkin Donuts does not have bagels, sorry). This is a family-owned place that doubles as a deli. Their sandwiches are pretty good, made with good quality hams. Only complaint is the coffee - needs some upgrade. Owner is very friendly.

Schooley's Mountain General Store

Reviewed By MitchPhyllis65 - Morristown, New Jersey

This classic 1830 General Store, located in the woods along Schooley’s Mountain Road has a wonderful old deli inside that offers Mountain Hoagies and Schooley’s Mountain Pizza among other great items. We stopped by on our way back from Schooley’s Mountain Park for lunch and tried Mountain Hoagie #10 made with Boar’s Head Honey Maple Turkey & Smoked Gouda, which was really good. It looked like the General Store still provides local postal service. There are no tables inside, but you can sit on the bench on the front porch to eat your lunch. Don’t forget to try some of the homemade cookies.

The Coffee Potter

Reviewed By Nigel T - Long Valley, New Jersey

An ideal location on Schooley's Mountain Road, the Coffee Potter is a transformed and totally redesigned old bank. They sport plenty of parking, a drive through arrangement, spotless maintenance and a sophisticated, yet welcoming decor.

I am a coffee snob. Always have been and always will. Rather than judge many other places in the negative though, it is of more value to elevate those who really put heart and soul into their coffee production. This is the case with the Coffee Potter.

It has only been open since mid March 2017 and yet is the hotspot of the region already. Folks come from near and wide to enjoy a few moments of getaway to this wonderful town with a new offering. The CP is family owned and run and they are a uniquely service oriented family. They take enormous pride in their presentation, hiring of staff and welcoming nature that is put forth.

I have always enjoyed a Flat White, being Australian and growing up with it. On my first visit I asked if they could make men one. They did not truly know the manner of a real Flat White, however that did not stop them going all out to learn. Including also purchasing cups especially to make the right size available since combination of many variables makes for a good Flat White.

I expect this business will do exceptionally well and may indeed have redefined Long Valley in the most positive of terms. Now LV has a core around which to congregate. They have had open mike evenings (packed), open days, and even bring in Aunt Loretta who brings yet another touch to the warmth of this unique coffee shop.

Right now, as they establish themselves they are seeking out the best lite snacks, and bites to accommodate clients. They do not provide meals but you can get a quiche, wrap, scone or cookie style of lite bite.

I wish them well and am very grateful they have taken up residence in this township.

My son and I love pad Thai. I was in Hackettstown and asked for a good Thai restaurant. I want to go back and eat in. I ordered the Pad Thai. It was wonderful with fresh veggies and lots of chicken and shrimp. The noodles were perfect. Def going back to explore more on the menu. And the waiter was so nice. They were donating 10% of all orders to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Feel good place!

Redwoods Grill and Bar

A wood burning grill is the focus of Redwoods cuisine. We feel that the flavors of food cooked over an open fire are enhance like wine aged in oak barrels.

Reviewed By ab1324 - Morris County, New Jersey

My boyfriend and I went to Redwoods this past Saturday. We were child free and wanted a nice, quiet lunch. Not to be had for at least the first twenty minutes we were there until they finally left and by then I just had a bad headache. We were seated quickly but in an area near a family with three loud, out of control children that the adults just seemed to ignore like this was Chuck E Cheese. In hindsight, I should have just asked to be moved but the host also should have noticed we were dining alone and probably didn't want to be seated next to the table whose kids were throwing napkins on the floor and running around. The servers all looked frustrated and helpless and I cannot blame them but as a decent restaurant in a nice area they should have had the manager address this in a respectful but firm manner. You cannot control peoples children but it was pretty clear they were disturbing others and that is where management can step in. My suggestion would be for the host/hostesses to try and not seat couples dining alone near the families with a bunch of kids especially unruly ones. The food was good otherwise. My boyfriend had a burger and I had the crab cake sandwich. The portions were generous and the service was prompt and friendly. They have a nice outside patio I could see and overall the meal was good but when you have people around you acting like they are at the zoo it can make for an unpleasant dining experience.
