Canuba Beach

Reviewed By Geezelle_Geemiz - Cebu City, Cebu City, Philippines

Bohol is known for its white Beaches such as the ones in Anda and Panglao but Jagna has a different beach to offer.
Instead of white sand what Canuba beach has are fine stones that are so good for the feet. It is very therapeutic like having a free foot massage at the beach.
No entrance fee but you pay for the cottage.

St Michael Archangel Church

Reviewed By Sheryl A - Liverpool, United Kingdom

The church in Jagna is closed most of the time, but open around 08:00-09:00. I visited just after 15/10/14 09.00 - they had finished the mass to commemorate the earthquake a year earlier. The interior, in particular the ceilings are very photogenic.I spent 20-30 mins there using a fish-eye 8mm, 11-16 and a 16-300 for detail shots. Exterior is plain, with an 'archangel' statue at the rear and a Virgin Mary 'cove'. Very neat. Free. Enjoy!!

I have been diving with drift divers and it was very nice. The owner Silvio is a very nice Italien guy who starts it's own business. The gear is very new and safety is first here. I felt confident diving with him.
Moreover, the dive shop in 5meters from the sea so it's very easy to go to dive. They are very flexible so just ask what you need.
We saw coral, nudibranch, lots of coral fish, clown fish, ...
The shop is easy to find, when you are in Jagna just take a Motorilla in the direction of Anda and ask to be drop at Paseo del mar, it's 8 pesos per person.
For accomodation, you can stay at Paseo del Mar.

Lonoy Cold Spring

Reviewed By MijnlieverdFH - Amsterdam

This cold spring in the highlands of Lonoy has been a popular destination by the locals. Slowly it has been relayed by mouth about the beauty and its accessibility. It can be reached by private vehicle up to the parking or single motorcycle, "habalhabal".or walk from the drop off point to the cold spring when you take the public transport to Lonoy From Jagna center, It will take you about 30 minute to reach the spot.
At present it has already been known even from other people not only from Jagna but from nearby municipalities in Bohol. I for one was amazed by the pristine waters that flow from the "Tubod" or source spring. According to the locals, there are five Springs around and these are the source of drinking water to the people of Lonoy getting it from the "tubod".
At present this cold spring in the highlands of Lonoy is a popular destination during the warm summer months. I am sure the Jagna tourism office personnel would be glad to assist you.

Kinahugan Falls

Reviewed By MijnlieverdFH - Amsterdam

This beautiful Waterfalls is located about five kilometers from the town center of Jagna in Sitio Karapagan, barangay/barrio Cabungaan. One of the hidden gems of the town.
There are three Waterfalls that are in trigonometrical arrangement. The center fall is flanked by another on the northern part and the other is on the southern part. Two faces of the cliff have only minimal water falling over it. Much of the water is concentrated on the third falls and the water here is gushing and swift and produces a roar when it hits rock bottom.
Many Jagnaanons specially those that prefer to go on picnic during summer months come to Kinahugan falls for a change if not to the beach.
Just one and a half hours from Tagbilaran Cty by bus to Jagna. Then from the town center to the falls by single motorcycle or the scheduled jeepney to Cabungaan. From there, trekking to the falls for an hour in a slow pace. You will not regret visiting the place.
It is a beauty of nature that you feel and see.

Luinab Rice Terraces

Reviewed By MijnlieverdFH - Amsterdam

The beautiful terraces in Barangay Mayana, where the highest point of Bohol is situated. It has another point of interest where the Centennial Narra tree can be found.
The beauty of these terraces can be seen all around since the barangay is hilly. So the rice paddies are carved on the hillsides. To get to a point where the perspective from a tree was taken is to cross various rice paddies. Water is abundant that is why they can regularly harvest rice on schedule..
From the town center of Jagna, you can ride single motorcycle or wait for a scheduled Jeepney to Mayana. Upon reaching there you can ask the help of the barangay officials for assistance. To get there one has to move on his own pace. There is no hurry but careful you might fall from the passage between paddies.
