Sunnyhills

Reviewed By Yv0nneSG - Singapore, Singapore

A relative bought this for us when she went Taiwan so I KIV this place and Chia Te. If possible, go to both places, they have different feel to it. Chia Te is very near the metro (nanjing sanmin) while Sunny Hills is quite a long walk away. Chia Te is more like the typical bread/pastry shop, crowded, everything is out on display while Sunny Hills was more like a premium spa. If you have never heard of this brand and walked past their outlet, you’ll never be able to guess that they sell pineapple tarts. You’ll be greeted at the door by a staff who’ll invite you to have a cup of tea and try their pineapple tart. It’s a very nice experience. The pineapple tarts here cost about NTD 41 each while those at Chia Te costs NTD 30 each. The packaging of Sunny Hill’s looks more minimalistic and chic and will appeal more to youngsters. Since we came all the way to Taiwan, we bought from both brands! Chia Te’s pineapple tarts come in more funky flavors (original/cranberry/cherry/plum/walnut etc) while Sunny Hill only comes in the original flavour and offers tester (must-try for their experience). I couldn’t find the weight of both tarts for comparison so hope this info is useful for you. Both weighs 50g! Disclaimer: Weight is inclusive of respective individual packaging, mine is a luggage scale so it may not be super accurate. Remember to bring your passport if you’re buying a substantial amount to bring abroad. There’s tax refund (not sure how much). We didn’t think of that.

BabyBoss

BabyBoss City is Taiwan’s first simulation city made for children. The city is designed to create an environment for children to play and learn at the same time. Inside the 2300sq. ping city there are 50 professions and over 70 different occupations waiting for kids to explore. The settings allow games and role-playing scenarios to stimulate children’ learning capability. Once entered into BabyBoss, the children set their minds on only two things “learn from playing” and “learn from doing”. This environment opens up their abilities from within and sparks unlimited potentialities. The concept of money and how to value it are thoroughly taught within the city. The hands-on learning process is not only fun but also very rewarding.

Rainbow Bridge

Reviewed By Larry-Calif - San Francisco, United States

After researching the Internet photos, studying earth maps, and finding the location of the “LOVE” sign, we decided to include this spot as part of our group tour. The 6-feet high “LOVE” is located in front of the Rainbow Bridge (pedestrian) spanning the Keelung River. It is less than 4-minute walk from front entrance of the Raohe Street Night Market. After taking over 1,300 photos on our 13-day trip through Taiwan, the favorite photograph was the one of our group standing at the “LOVE” sign with the changing multi-colored Rainbow Bridge in the background in the warm evening. Coming halfway around the world from San Francisco, we stand next to the LOVE BRIDGE ... at the Rainbow Bridge.

Songshan Airport Station

Reviewed By winprotravel

This once domestic flights only airport now has flights directly to China and it's less than 2 hours now from downtown Taipei to downtown Shanghai. Use this airport for your Taiwan/China business trips and spare yourself the one hour each way taxi ride from Taipei to Taoyuan airport. It's hard to believe this overlooked airport is in downtown Taipei and operating right now. Limited international flights so check so check online. The domestic flights to Kaoshiung, Hualian, Taichung etc are all still in operation as well and save you a cross island drive or bus ride.

Spent a good three hours by purchasing the bundle at level 6 which consists of nerf fun shootout, horse riding and free play. End off with dinner at Lenini. Fantastic!
