Priory Church

Snaith Priory dates back to the 12th century with much work also being completed in the 13th Century. A daughter church of Selby Abbey and founded by the Benedictine Monks, the Priory is a striking and large building in the centre of our Town. While it is not always unlocked, a key can be obtained from 'The Flower Shack' during their opening hours. Otherwise entry can be arranged by emailing or telephoning the Vicar. ( If you are travelling a long way, please ring a couple of days in advance to ensure we can make contact. Our service is at 10.45am on a Sunday, except the final Sunday of the month, when it is somewhere in our team of five churches. Details can be found on the church notice board, or by contacting the Vicar.

A good variation of beers with a rotation of guest beers, well kept and presented, and at a reasonable price. Other drinks obviously available but we only drink beer. A comfortable little pub, very well kept, and with a touch of history showing some of Goole's shipping heritage. We would recommend to family and friends. Handy for the railway station and a bus service.

Visited for our annual panto trip, Really love this theatre, It is a lovely theatre to visit. The panto (as always) was great, Talegate Theatre co top notch yet again with the obligatory predictable Panto jokes, Very funny & entertaining, A very professional production. Good location & good views from all seating areas. Comfortable seats with good bar facilities for pre show or interval drinks, We loved the cafe. The staff were upbeat and friendly. They seem to accommodate their customers as much as possible, The value for money is superb. Can’t wait to be back this year ????????

Couldn’t ask for better when I’m working away on my own. Christine was inviting and made sure that even though I went up to my room and slept for a while she had a meal ready for me. I’ve never experienced that type is service in the 1000’s of hotels I’ve stayed in. She literally had a meal sorted for me after the kitchen closed because she was that inviting when I checked in that she knew I would prob not be back down immediately after work. Come to this place. Christine is Sound as F&£k.
