Reviewed By Beau-AinI chose the Green hill resort of kaluk(along with peling and ravangla) to surprise my husband on our honeymoon trip and it was one of the best decisions of that trip as the scenic beauty we enjoyed from the room of that resort was beyond description.. Beautiful farm, tucked away in a quiet space
Reviewed By ruchi_shaYangsum Heritage Farm, is true to its name. It has been run and built slowly over a few generations. The host, Thendup is resourceful and helpful person. The farm is cut away from the small quaint town of Rinchenpong. It is spread over a large-ish area where they grow some fruits, buckwheat and vegetables and also have some animals and other farm folk living on the land. There are beautiful little walks and treks that possible in every direction. The staff at this farm/homestay were really nice, polite and warm. They have a local cook/chef who prepared fresh, home-cooked food which was delicious. They would make 1-2 local items and add in more Indian food prepared in the local way - I thoroughly enjoyed the food here. The best part was that all the rooms and cabins were made in wood in a local style of architecture. And most of the walls have family photos and heirlooms that are displayed for everyone to see. 1 thing that would make the stay better is a guide who could take us for interactive nature walks and also help us communicate and meet local people. I would also like to know more about the history of the family and a guided tour of the farm, family photos etc. which would give some insight into the people and their lives in this region.

Nice memorable place in the Himalayas
Reviewed By basabHotel is located in the steep 100 meters down the main Kaluk bazar. Once you enter the premises, it's serene and beautiful. Although weather was not favourable that time, this hotel views the mountains and the valleys uninterruptedly. We booked 2 cottage type rooms on the first floor. Rooms are quite big with good balcony to relax. Food was moderately good and they serve food at their dining hall only. Room service is chargeable, I didn't like that idea. Bad part is, they do not recharge their cable TV connections. Children have hardly anything to do in such places after sundown, if there is no TV. Neither this is a remote village where cable TV, internet facilities are not available. Management should look into this. Manager Bharat is a lovable young man, always ready to help.

A Holiday in Martam Village Resort is a unique experience. Guests may enjoy a short trek to the top of the hills to see the rich and unique Himalayan flora and fauna or enjoy the fabled Sikkimese hospitality among the villagers. The Accommodation is in 13 thatched cottages built in traditional style to blend with the surrounding village. The cottages have twin bedded rooms with large picture windows framing the spectacular countryside. Each room has attached bath with modern facilities. Great care has been taken to blend the resort into the village, to maintain the ethnic style and culture of the area. To remain rustic, yet, provide for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Reviewed By anixomSo We had kept Martam as the last day of my 10 day tour , coming down from Rumtek when I first reached the place it put me in an awe . Such pretty views and the cottages were like the traditional Sikkimese IKRA houses . The farm expands quite a bit and you have the whole resort spread out . They have the activities listed and you will have one of the friendliest service.Dont expect high end resort facilities but be greeted with smiles and positive vibes . I had actually lost my phone while coming down to Martam and the hospitality guys helped me out to an extent of providing me their personal wifi for a night . But surely the magic of the place didn’t even remind me of my loss and I loved every moment spend in this fantasy village . Just while I was checking out the next day ....I received a call on my gfs number from an unknown person and he found my phone somewher in the Ranka forests . Truly magic ! And I will remember Martam everytime I look for hope ... thanks

Reviewed By Farukkhanwbnever stay in this hotel We are visit 16 person at month of april..staff behaviour is very bad.its good only for top 2 room.which is good virew..but most of charging power is not active.and manager told that "you can complain anywhere".. Some of my friend ask food for his children but they denied..and most horiable things that bloodsucker(joke) in evryroom.. for one mug hot water spent your more than 1 hr for heat..allmost all gyeser are so late.. So pls dont stay here..
