The monument at the center of the beautiful Heroes square depicts archangel Gabriel holding the Hungarian crown and the cross on top of a tall column. The column stands on a square pedestal surrounded by the leaders of the seven Magyar tribes. Around the monument is a peristyle with statues of Hungarian leaders and the square is surrounded by important historical buildings. Definitely worth a visit.

Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden

One of the oldest zoos in Europe, established in 1866, features the hippopotamus, bred in captivity, and an animal nursery of lion and bear cubs.

First of all, there is polar bear romance which makes the trip!! Secondly, you get to actually walk around freely with some of the animals such as the emus, bat's, eagles and iguanas! So much better than some of the other zoos I have been to. We went in winter so it wasn't busy at all, not queuing to see anything. Only tip is to get there early it starts to close at 330.

King Bike

Currently we can’t tour the downtown of Budapest. It was banned by the city council. We are the only beer bike company in Budapest who still run in public places. The wheeled pubs’ route has been outsourced from downtown districts to the outer greener areas. Beer bike tours have moved from congested inner streets and traffic jams to safer and calmer surroundings for guests. We are continuously working to improve our service and trying to find new places near the downtown. Please call us for more information about our current place! Cheers, Beerbike Budapest Team

7. Pet Zoo Budapest

Pet Zoo Budapest

Zoo in the heart of Budapest. Due to its central location you can get to Budapest Zoo easily in several ways. We advise you to avoid busy traffic and parking difficulties: hop on a bike or use the public transport. (The Széchenyi Fürdő underground stop is only 3 minutes' walk. )
