Wuhan (simplified Chinese: 武汉; traditional Chinese: 武漢; pinyin: Wǔhàn; [ù.xân] ( listen)) is the capital of Hubei province, People's Republic of China, and is the most populous city in Central China. It lies in the eastern Jianghan Plain on the middle reaches of the Yangtze River at the intersection of the Yangtze and Han rivers. Arising out of the conglomeration of three cities, Wuchang, Hankou, and Hanyang, Wuhan is known as 'China's Thoroughfare' (zh); it is a major transportation hub, with dozens of railways, roads and expressways passing through the city and connecting to other major cities. Because of its key role in domestic transportation, Wuhan is sometimes referred to as "the Chicago of China" by foreign sources.

Amazingly priced buffet lunch at just 148++ including wine. Highlights include the grilled to order lamb cutlets and the roast chicken, very tasty. On the down side, the cold appetizers are quite limited, if you want cold cuts, you need to pick them out of combined dishes, the cheese selection is poor and includes "laughing cow"!! Salmon is ok from the Sashimi counter, the Tuna is the frozen dyed variety. Desserts are the usual for hotels in this city. My friends and I had a very good time here. Turned out that this deal was buy 2 get one free! If you`re not too bothered about the food, and want to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine with your friends, this is a fantastic deal!

Simply the best Western food menu I've seen in China. So many different choices to choose from. There are separate chefs so they can concentrate on their specialties. Some of the menu can be a little pricey but there are plenty of reasonably priced selections. The set lunch menu is an absolute bargain. The place is huge and offers many styles of seating. Beautifully decorated. The German manager was always making sure guests were being taken care of. So don't worry about not speaking Chinese. The food quality was great and the cold potato salad was something I've been missing for a long time.

Nice to see a hotel buffet that blends local favorites with international favorites. The hand pulled noodles and grills are very good. House made pâtés and ice creams, and the desserts are excellent.

This is the main floor buffet, which includes both Western and Chinese cuisine. If you like desserts, the menu is extensive with good sorbets. If you like Wuchang fish, you have your choice. Breads are good, cheeses are limited to the over-aged hard variety and not tasty. There is a variety of salads, vegetables, fruits, noodles, dumplings, and greasy pork chops and chicken. For a Saturday luncheon, we had about 20 diners around us. You can gaze on a well-kept green lawn with fountains just outside the windows. Otherwise, there is the usual children's play area, which detracts from the peaceful atmosphere that the restaurant should promote. In all, this is okay, nothing special when compared to other area large, hotel restaurants, and overpriced when you consider the tasty meals available at other area restaurants.
